CL: Celtic vs. Spartak (5/12 19:45)

Thought the atmopshere wasn't the greatest last night, all down to the nerves though as I was a complete bag of nerves that second half, desperate for constant updates on the Barca game.

All bets were off when we scored right enough, relief and absolute carnage.

Wow I still can't get over the win!!! It was a * of a day for Celtic. The 125th year of the club will be its most glorious since 67!!

 

Same. Specially early on I was freezing too but was OK as game progressed.

Weird reading the players thought Barca were winning, that could have cost us. Glad they didn't fall into that trap and start sitting back.

 

Aha someone said that to me after the game. I thought he was joking cause although I think Messi is a * and the best ever I'm no celebrating his mere presence like WE scored a goal :smiley-laughing002: Mind you from what I've seen of the highlights I can imagine why people were! How did Benfica not score with all those chances? Sammy only needed one

He would have probably missed it due to the pressure if he knew it was still even at the nou camp.

 

For a brief moment, I thought he actually missed it. I had to really force myself to watch the penalty.

 

I thought they scored when everyone started cheering, bit of a over reaction for a sub, I knew it would have made them think Barca scored lol.

Yeh I know everyone around me thought it was 1-0. Took 10 minutes for me to get a text confirming it was 0-0

 

Aye everyone around us thought it was Barca 1-0. Then a wee guy stood up and said "naw it isnae, naw it isnae!!" without any explanation. Phoned my dad and he said aye, Messi's just came on

 

FFS, folk were cheering a SUB!??

took me a full 15 minutes afterwards to find out it was still 0-0.

 

Watching the game last night, heard the crowd cheering. Thought to myself, Barca must have scored and expected it to come up on the screen, but it didn't.

Flicked over to SSN... but still nothing.

Total mindfuck.

 

Some tims were fair trolling everyone in CP last night

Imagine if we had sat back, both the fans and players just taking it easy as we thought Barca had it won then we walked out the stadium, got home all drunk and happy and realised we were out

 

Was thinking that myself.

Really like Jamie Redknapp, seems to chuffed for Celtic in Europe. Like after Barcelona and last night on UCL goals.

 

Atmosphere wasn't the best in the first half last night. Probably nerves. Plus it was absolutely freezing...

I had some wee ned in 412 marching up and down the stairs calling everyone a * for sitting down. Then he started threatening to spit on everyone if they didn't stand. As much as I wanted to stand, there was a kid behind me who wouldn't have been able to see if I did. Plus he kept singing different songs from the rest of the stadium which was annoying. And to cap it all off he didn't even have a ticket. Him and his mates sneaked in through the turnstiles. Annoying little *
