What type of midfielder is he? More box to box? More flamboyant? Never heard of him

No10 but with pace and energy. Looks like he can play box to box as well.

Been likened to Kai Havertz in Germany.

His stated for the second side look great from this season.

Looks composed, passing and movement looks extremely promising as well.

Wouldn’t be against this at all, would interesting to see how much he would cost.

ideally I would like to see us linked with some more wide players.

Our recruitment have been refreshing. Every transfer seem to make sense which has not been the case for many years.

Celtic could land Christopher Scott for as little as £250,000 if they win the race for “one of the biggest talents in Germany”.

Record Sport can reveal that Bayern Munich WILL trigger the one-year option they have on his current contract, which ends in May, to ensure they don’t lose the teenager star for free.

But the Bundesliga giants are happy to let the attacking midfielder leave the Allianz Arena after that as the Germany Under-19 international searches for first team football.

Ange Postecoglou faces stiff competition for Scott’s signature with Brentford just one English Premier League club chasing the rising star along with clubs in Germany.

However, the Scottish Premiership leaders are serious contenders in the race for one Germany’s hottest properties.

A source close to the negotiations told Record Sport : “Bayern Munich has the option of extending Christopher’s contract by one more year and this is one-sided on the club’s part

Bayern Munich won’t let him go for free because he’s one of the biggest talents in Germany and it would cost around €300,000 to €400,000 for him.

“It’s about finding the best solution for a young player. The option for his contract is at the end of May and that will be taken up by Bayern Munich.

“Bayern Munich at the moment aren’t well known for bringing players into the first team and Christopher is looking for a new challenge.

It’s clear that Glasgow Celtic would be a massive option for him and they have been in talks but the English Premier League is also an option for someone who is a massive talent.

“Celtic are serious contenders because they are a massive club and they are very serious about trying to sign him.”

Looks a very good technical player that would fit one of those two 8 roles well in Ange’s system. Would be a great piece of business at the small fees being mentioned.

Given the rules about loans being due to change to restrict numbers, deals like this for young talent who are already at elite clubs or ones we used to pick up like Wanyama who now end up stuck in their loan systems should be more realistic options again.

It is crucial that we can point to Frimpong, Tierney, Dembele and hopefully O’Riley soon as well who were all young guys given a chance here and the first two now being touted for moves to the very top tier clubs of world football.

O’Riley the story is probably more about international recognition that is likely to help him one day be coveted by teams in the top leagues.

Even Ajer and Edouard can be pointed too as recent examples of guys who honed their skills here before becoming top 5 league regulars, Armstrong being another.
