Having got in from the game last night still buzzing then to be greeted with those morons comments on the re run really hacked me off.

Shame I used to have Sutton on the back of my Celtic top too, however after hearing him spout off in that manner and joining in the Celtic bashing has really changed my opinion of him.

You are to Neil Lennon what Sutton is to Ronnie. I f you worked for BT sport when Lenny was our manager this thread could have been about you:56:

He was an awful manager at Lincoln. He's just upset his wee pal isn't here.

I agree, I don't think they defended quite as bad as we have this season but for a team of the quality that they had they should have done better. I think the point is they knew that wasn't acceptable though.

I know what you're getting at, he's harsh and if it wasn't Chris Sutton a man I worshipped in the Hoops I might be saying the same kind of things as everyone else but I agree with the general points he makes, just not in the manner he's making them.

Offensively last night is the best I've saw off of us on the ball since we beat Benfica 3-0 under Gordon Strachan, the kind of spirit we showed is the same we had Spartak away. Everything is starting to come together and that needs acknowledged. We need to had that bit of steel to our game.

We've conceded far too much in Europe this year, from Legia to Dynamo putting 4 past us. We have a classy defence, we just need to cut out these stupid wee mistakes that are * us over.

We're showing progress though. Deila deserves all the praise in the world for that.

Kinda went off the Sutton topic there but so * :56:

If we we're to apply Sutton's 'Standards' Lennon was an unmitigated failure as our manager.

I agree with all of that. However, it seems quite clear Sutton doesn't, or just doesn't want to acknowledge it. I think he has a chip on his shoulder about Deila. Last night wasn't so much defending poorly as a team, it was individual errors. Gordon cost two, and Izaguirre, coupled with a slice of bad luck cost us the other.

    Last season, in Europe, definitely.

The season before? Nah, no chance.

You are quite entitled to dislike Lenny but do you feel teh need to polute all the RD threads with your views.

Nice little insult on the play on words with my name. Your views would certainly go down well in a Zenit forum :56:

Looks like he's moved on from Ronny for the mean time and his next target is Izzy. Constantly having digs at Celtic and Scottish Football. Then why pundit on it? He's a joke of a man.

Still had a dig at Ronny saying he had 6/7 weeks to prepare the defence for this game and failed to do so.

Have to say he's up there in terms of one of my all time favorite players as well as being a quality hunskelper. But he's starting to * me right off. And it * hurts thinking of him like that.

Watched some of the game back and the post match thoughts of Sutton and McManaman. They were both really out of order. Celtic and Inter just gave them a brilliant match with a full 60k in the Europa League and they just belittled Celtic as much as possible.

Sutton has backed himself into a corner because he can't support Deila now because he was so short sighted and over critical early on. McManaman just talks complete *.

Last night was the best game I've seen all season, from any league or European fixture. The English boy that was the host said the game lacked quality :smiley-laughing002:

It's mental, that match should be used to prove how good the Europa League is yet they've basically said, 'don't bother watching this'. Morons.

The lesson to be learned here is that high scoring games lack quality defensive play and should not be regarded as good viewing. We need more scorless games to bring the viewing quality up to standard.

Aye like Liverpool 1-0 and it was a penalty. I hope Sutton gets sacked and we get Big Bad John in. He had the decency to admit he was wrong about Ronny didn't he?

If the defending had been top class and it finished 0-0, they would have moaned about the attacking quality. All Sutton wants to do is whinge and moan.

Sutton is indeed a walloper and if he didn't act like one BT wouldn't employ him ... file under * him .

I watched our game online and the Liverpool one was on the TV across the room. I glanced at it on the odd occasion and I could tell even from not engaging with it that it was a * awful game with less atmosphere than the moon. Complete contrast to what was going on at Parkhead.
