I'd like to know that too. Didn't see anything about it in the transcript.

    No,
but I think he was using the rotation policy, so they were sharing the
    games / goals.

    Right, cheers.

I understand what he's saying but it's a massive problem, not one striker has got to 15 league goals. Should be looking for someone to be nearly doubling that figure.

Think it was Craigon. Was saying that we haven't got a centre forward that's got more than 10 league goals, he just laughed and said what does that matter, there's one place up for grabs, there's been roatation and there's been 30 odd goals scored from that position this year.

Means we aren't relying on one striker:icon_mrgreen:

We've not had a striker hit 30 league goals since Larsson.

    Hence why I said nearly.

25-30 goals, that area should be doable for a good striker at Celtic.

I'd rather have 4/5 players hitting 15 than one hitting 25/30

I couldn't really care who gets the goals, as long as we are scoring and winning games, it's irrelevant who is getting them.

Spreading the goals is far better than reliance on 1 player, common sense tells you that.

A Celtic striker should be scoring in excess of 20 goals a season though and Guidetti would have done that but for drastic loss of form which can be explained with a quick look at the last 2 seasons of his career.

Next level Celtic needs a prolific striker.

YouTube link to the interview, for those who have not seen it - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2vL18iqNtM

I actually thought Sutton came across as very professional in that interview, and it was a really good one as well.

Spreading the goals is better as it means we dont rely on the few to score goals, its also cheaper because we dont depend on the more expensive strikers for goals.

I must say that, since Chris Sutton's very disparaging comments re Deila, I have found him very refreshing and, dare I say it, funny and entertaining first as a pundit and now as a co-commentator.

He has said that Deila has proved him wrong many times since and he offers a real insight to the mindset of professionals during a 90 minute match.

He rarely sticks to cliches and delivers his lines with a wry bit of humour. He knows when players are taking the * and isn't afraid to say so.

The line last night about "putting a bit of swazz" on it when Bitton scored was absolutely priceless :56:and I must say I'm looking forward to watching a lot more matches with him co-commentating

I still think his comments re Deila were very personal and totally unreasonable at the time but by the same token I must give him kudos for his recent "performances."

Met him in the airport a few weeks ago, he was pretty dead on.

Was just thinking that last night too, turning into one of the most intelligent and entertaining co-commentators out there. The amount of things he knows about defending is also impressive, you can see it's more than just a striker's perspective and that he actually played at CB during his career.
