Bingo. Im sure Killen will do well in the SPL just like SMcD but do you really think that either one of them will cut it in the CL? Maybe Rangers were ready to sign him and thats why we got involved!? :84:

im really disappointed in celtic!! i mean no disrespect to chris killen, but is this who we are competing with now, english championship clubs??i.e. cardiff!! How are we ever going to maintain our CL progress if WGS is bringing in very average players like killen!! i think WGS has done well up until now bringing in fairly high profile names!(VOH,nakamura, gravesen, jarosik) Whether they have performed or not is another matter! I mean whas their any top class sides in for killen??absolutley not!!sometimes us celtic fans settle for too little!im not kidding myself and saying that we can beat for the likes of hargreaves and torres, but i mean now and again,we can spend big,i.e. bellamy, anelka!!Bring players in who are worthy of playing for the green and white hoops! what message are we sending out to our spl and european counterparts??i dont think there will be any team in europe shrinking in their boots over this piece of business!!

I personally can't see too much amiss with this signing.Beattie out for money and Killen in for nowt..I think that's an improvement straight away.
He'a decent honest pro and ye know what you're getting with him.I fit stops Jan having to play in Inverness on a cold January Sunday fair dues...
(on the proviso that a quality striker/goalgetter is also signed, otherwise Stachan/Quinn/Lawwell/Desmond out out out ....)

hes only played for hibs for about a year and a bit, (including his time out injured). before that that he played for oldham, man city and ithink coventry not sure, but he coodnt cut it in enlgand, does that maybe not suggest something about him:87:

I think it's an ok transfer, because he is for free and certainly better than McD, or our current "strikers" Miller and Beattie. Better getting a player like him for free than wasting money on one single overpaid "superstar".

wait, wait, so jarosik and gravesen are celtic class now because they have 'high profile names' names, it doesnt matter whether they preformed or not? lol take another look at your arguement and mate naka wasn't a high profile name when we brought him in he was a relatively unknown factor.

    what a joke

You never know when signing players like him. Will he get a game or not? End of the day he cost * all, scores goals and is a handfull, so lets hope when he gets his chance he takes it. If he flops-no big deal.

have u seen a handsome hun
when you sign a player like killen.... its a gamble. yer hoping we get even more from him than his previous club did.... and that he flourishes among better players. while i'm a bit underwhelmed at his signature.... i wish him well... and look forward to the bluechip player we need signing in the near future.

He scored about 15 goals and he was injured for most of the season

Hes a proven goalscorer in the SPL its not as if hes the only stiker we are going to sign.

He looks like one of the players who get better as they go on at hibs he had a record of 0.64 goals per game so thats better than Magic's best season.

if he continues that record at celtic and plaays ever spl game he will have a goal tally of 24 goals which isn't bad but hopefully he can get 30 unless he is mainly used as a backup player.

Killen's 2nd goal against Rangers was like the 1 that JVoH missed against the Pars in the final.

He's scored a lot of goals, for a team who might not always get a lot of chances - hopefully he should improve a lot here, but he;s certainly got the killer instinct & he's free - good signing - I like him!! Seemed to enjoy beating Rangers, good sign!!!
