GG is good. However, we need to try something different. We simply are not taking chances. Any clinical striker in celtic should be putting more than those numbers up with the chances we create.

agree , I like gg and kyogo but there numbers should have an extra 15 goals a piece. We’re a clinical striker away from really putting teams away in Scotland and Europe

Hard to take chances sitting on the bench.

His finishing us class but I've always thought we could do with a third striker who is better outside the box, linking the play, carrying it on his own..

Jackie doesn't have the technical ability to do that. So often his lay offs and link up play are really lacking....and I say that as a massive fan of his. He's very much stick it in the box and he'll cause havoc and more often than no....put it away..

Ideally I want a strong, pacey forward who can take it out wide or drop the shoulder and still make it happen. This guy does look like it he has that..

Aye that's fair, to be honest. Jumping the gun a wee bit.

Giako is an excellent finisher but it is his link up play that lets him down and us down in Europe. From the little I've seen of Cho he does look to be a lot more confident in that aspect of his game.

We're gonna make an absolute fortune off this guy if we pull a move off.

He's already got his own "fan cam" in South Korea. His Instagram has exploded since the WC started, and his being inundated with marriage proposals

Koreans, and indeed SE Asians spend an absolute fortune on these Korean "idols". The exposure and by extension money he's could take on with his image alone is unreal.

So now we know why Pistol Pete is back... He could smell that Asia money :smoke:

Then you're an idiot! No way I'd take an offer under 8 figures for GG... He'd absolutely shred it at a championship team, or most EPL... And £7M is chump change down there for a striker

He could smell it, but we will smell the * in his knickers when he realizes he has to pay money to get the Korean striker to sign for us. If we are looking to sign Gyu-seong Jo (this name/last name order and Romanization is more accurate than the one in the title), I'm hoping Nicholson is directing the process.

GG is 28. He's been good for us but is clearly second in the striker rankings under Ange. We bought him for £2.5m less than a year ago. £5.5m profit on a 28 year old striker who has had 2 good seasons in his career is decent business. I love the big man but £7m would be a decent enough deal provided we used the funds properly.

Players are always going to score in our team, and I love big Zeus but let's be honest, he's * technically. Excellent hold up play, he's strong and can finish but he is absolutely replaceable. As is the majority of our team, probably Jota, CCV and McGregor aside.

Could we ask for a bit more and get it? Possibly. I don't know. A player is only worth what a team will pay for him. It would also depend on how much Cho was to buy. If Cho was going to cost us £4m say (I'm plucking a price out of thin air here, I have no idea how much he would cost) and we could sell GG for nearly double that? We would be silly not to pay it. Cho is 4 years younger; he has a better goalscoring record and he's far better technically than GG. Also, he pretty much excels in all the areas GG does, only better. He's also coming up against better opposition week on week, he's not playing for a team like ours who dominate the ball as much or have as many chances as we do.

As I said before, if we buy Cho and it is a big IF. He will automatically become our number one striker. There's already stuff going on in the media about GG and his contract situation. Now, I'm not going to say that everything is gospel and truth but there is certainly no smoke without fire and there might be something in it. If he becomes unhappy and starts causing a bit of unrest, you then struggle to move the player on. These things get back to other teams.

It all depends on who comes in as replacements for me. Selling players is fine as long as you have a replacement lined up. Cho would be an excellent replacement for GG and if we can get him for cheaper than we sell GG for? You're already onto a winner.
