FS we now have ballboys play acting and diving.
Guy even said on twitter that he was going to time waste before the game.

Surprised he didn't get worse when he started rolling on the ball.

Regarding the incident the lad should be banned from ever doing it again by his club, although he is not going to care because he will be treated as a hero by his friends because he played a significant part in helping his team.

As for Hazard, what he did is violent conduct because it was off the pitch and on a person who is not part of the game. The location of the ball is irrelevant because to get too it he had to boot a young lad on top of it.

I know footballers are traditionally stupid and act accordingly but this takes them to a whole new level. He must have known how it would have looked and should now face the consequences for doing what he did. The media will hound him and the FA will probably hand him an extended ban. Footballer's reputation will fall even more because as well as being money-grabbing prostitutes who will leave a team to go anywhere for a little bit more money (the press viewpoint, although it is also mine, to a point) they will now be shown to be people who think that despite playing rubbish for the entire 90 minutes they can blame the actions of a fan for their defeat and justify kicking a lad who is under-18 without real cause.

Does anyone actually believe he 'violently' stuck the boot into the boy?

It was a vicious assault, of that there is no doubt.

Hazard aggressively kicked an innocent child in the ribs. Whether or nor the child was trying to engage in a bit of time wasting is irrelevant, nothing justifies such thuggish brutality.

Thankfully the police are now investigating the matter.

If there is any justice in this cruel world, Hazard should serve at least 6 months in prison.

However, given the corrupt nature of the criminal justice system, he’ll probably only receive a mild slap on the wrist due to his status as a famous footballer.

It’s one rule for these over-indulged primadonnas and another for decent, ordinary folk.

Listening and reading to some various media outlets you'd think common sense doesn't exist in football. "violent conduct", no the wee * was lying on the ball and Hazard kicking the ball which was underneath him.... if that's "violent conduct" then football has become an absolute joke.

The fact that lad went looking for Hazard to apologize to him tells you all that you need to know, clearly he wasn't actually too hurt by Hazard kicking the ball underneath him otherwise he wouldn't have went looking to apologize.

To get a red card for that was absolutely ridiculous, people talk about the "letter of the law", I'm sorry but in these types of incidents referee's need to use common sense.... did the ref actually believe that Hazard deliberately kicked the ball boy? Do me a favour!

The English media are once again out with their typical moral high ground nonsense, I mean seriously grow the * up and realize that..

    1. there was absolutely no intent and no violent contact (there are actually other camera angles that prove Hazard kicked the ball and not the ball boy).
    2. The ball boy planned to deliberately was time and should have known that Hazard was always going to make an attempt to get the ball back.
    3. the ball boy went looking for Hazard, so he could apologize to Hazard.... that pretty much sums it up.

The ball boy is an absolute *, if anything Hazard should have kicked him harder. Can see why the ref chose to send him off though. I don't have any moral objection to wee bams getting kicked.

Honestly, the kid was wrong, but Hazard shouldn't let to be provoked.
It is such a shame that there wasn't Torres instead of Hazard. Torres would miss.
