Dunno what game he was watching. Probably the Yeading one judging from his full time analysis.
We were unlucky not to win by 2 or 3 today. The only notable chance the Huns got was when Buffoon or whatever his name is smacked the ball over the bar when he was through on goal.. £2.5m well spent me thinks
:yeah:
Fields of Athenry, You'll never walk alone, & coming home!
all the commentators seemed to be huns, dont know why they couldnt congratulate us cause we won an rangers were crap. the better team won an that was even with out our star old firm player Neil Lennon. they had 2 chances, a goal an a gd Douglas save. Hail Hail bhoys
And that's being nice to them! I'm, amazed at hearing the anti-Celtic comments after the game by the TV coverage of the game.
Living in Australia as I do the best I could manage was listen to the game on Radio Scotland over the internet.
I feared the worst with regard to comments during the game when I saw that the old Blue Nose Gordon Smith would be one
of the commentators.
He did say seem to be pulling for the Huns throughout the game which was shown by some remarks but to give him his due it turned out he had gone for a narrow Celtic win before the game and felt we fully deserved the win.
In fact all of the commentary team felt that was the case.
I heard Martin O'Neill after the game and he said how much we deserved to wein.
I am with all of you (far from a first that!) in that it came across in the commentary that apart from a short spell in the second half Celtic dominated proceedings and could have won by more goals.
Sounded a lot like the 1-0 win at CP earlier in the season.
I can't understanded Charlie's comments.
I used to have Sky Sports back in England and on their coverage I always felt it was Davie Provan who would be against Celtic (ie if we did anything good it was because of poor play from our opponents, especially Rangers: I remember he was almost beside himself during the 6-2 game and kept droning on about the Huns' bad defending, not our brilliant play!).
Anyway, it was sweet indeed for me to listen to the game in bed with my wife lying asleep next to me (she is from the Philippines and finds my passion for football baffling! Mind you she gets pretty excited when she watches the tennis!) and feel that wonderous europhic feeling (yet again!) of Celtic beating Rangers.
Trust Big Bad John to score the winner.
He is similar to Henke in that he always seems to score against the Huns.
And now he has signed that new contract the Huns can look forward to being terrorized for some years to come! Oh how sweet it was to knock them out of the main Cup tournament of the season while all they could manage was to beat us in the Third Trophy! No suprised that Big Eck would come out with his ungracious remarks (not that I heard them: I'm going from what you tell me about his interview) as he is a classless moron who manages a team who make nothing but excuses whenever we beat them (which is very often! 11 games at Celtic Park under Martin resulting in 9 Celtic wins and
two draws - now that is what I call utter and total dominance!).
Just thought i'd remind every that remember when the manky mob beat us twice in november that was it the end they were saying, "ooh we're gonna win a treble" and maybe a uefa cup medal. ahahahahaha out of Europe, out of Scottish Cup and behind in the league.
