From what I heard about that, they were a married couple that were more ‘health guru’ than ‘scientist’.

I imagine he probably did have something to say about it tbh.

Collins isn't a mouthpiece, but if he saw something that was out of turn I'd like to imagine he'd have commented on it by now.

Deila clearly came from a different environment, and walked into a pre-season where players were still in Lennon-mode i.e. chips n' tomato sauce for dinner etc, I'm sure he said something along the lines of being shocked at how fat some of the players were.

If he implemented a dietary-based schedule to get the percentage down, then it was up to the players to adapt to that.

I'm sure the likes of Guardiola were/are doing the same.

Guardiola and the likes definitely aren’t doing Keto diets mate.

it’s well known to * peoples energy levels but get the body fat percentage down.

Aye, it's also not supposed to be a PERMANENT way of life (unless of course you're an epileptic kid), so I'd imagine it was introduced simply to spike the players into losing some weight.

    But, that's me just assuming.

That’s assuming mate, it was permanent. He’s a massive believer in it, still had everybody on it when he left.

And that really, really showed on the pitch.

    Fair doos.

That's my point though, IF it were detrimental to the players, then I think Collins would have had something to say about it.

Which I've never heard him mention.

Dunno what he’s said in the background but it’s a fact that that’s what he was doing.

Used to put out food that’s not part of it as well to test players, which they resented quite a lot.

    * your energy levels at the start. As your body adjusts you actually get more energy burning fat than carbs. I doubt players have fat to burn for energy though :56: no like us fatties that become energizer bunnies after a month with plenty spare to burn..

That is ridiculous that he's actually worked on that and placed it to perfection from that distance :giggle1:

    It was karagandy

Mulgrew played in game and didn't realise
