With this signing & the Du Ri signing I'm more & more convinced Lenny is going to go 3-5-2 in the SPL. He's also well used to seeing Paddy McCourt in the reserves, so I'm going to suggest that he's buying attacking wingbacks similar to Jackie Mac & Diddy Agathe, he's got the Luboesque Paddy & is looking to have a big monsterlike CB in Sol Campbell like Bobo, partnered with 2 capable ball playing CB's in Rogne & Hooiveld. Ki & Brown can both run all day in the midfield & pass/tackle/shoot.

All we need now is strikers.

Sorry if this is offtopic, but I'm really trying to see the benefit of getting Mulgrew in. Not unless he's playing as a winger, cos he's not a LB in a 4-4-2 imo.

mulgrew is eather very confident in his ability or happy to be a sub,,i think he is a good player who is still young,had good expereance wih wolves and aberdeen also scored a peach v us,,if lenny installs a good defence mind approach in him its a great signing for free. seeemple

 

Not sure about this transfer to be honest. WGS didn't really rate him and according to some aberdeen fans he ain't the best defender either.

 

I want another LB, to have competition. After seeing how well Naylor can play if he fears for his place, I want 2 people for our troubled spot. Also, possible injuries have to be taken into account.
So, to be clear:I'm happy with Mulgrew, but I hope he isn't the only LB we get in this transfer window.

 

Normally on here we ask for a link or source to back up whats being said ,and if you cared to read my post correctly you would have read it said ,ill be looking for a link for this maybe by 10am ,thats when most papers are out and all the sports channels have there info ,what i didnt say was ,Charlie Mulgrew will be paraded at parkhead at 10am ,sometimes if you read a post properly it wont get you into bother like youve already done .

 

not sure about him, i dont think a stint at aberdeen has made him celtic quality

Dont think there is a link but Lawell did say the deal was done and would be paraded today , wouldnt think it would be a big deal maybe an interview at Lennoxtown as the team are back today .

 

I,ll not be running about the garden with my vuvzella due to this signing but welcome back.

 

Really hope we sign another LB. Mulgrew is semi-decent in the SPL and can do a job (possibly not defensively) and with improvements he can be alright, but certainly cannot be out first choice surely.

 

I think he will be a good addition i would play him left midfield when we get another left back. think LM would be his best position as hes an average defender but dangerous puttin balls in to the box, Big Rass will love him
