It's not strange, I know a helluva lot of people who have no interest in their national team. Scotland or otherwise.

    I'm not picky.
I think it's about time Mulgrew had a call up and well done to him for finally getting it (and for Levein for FINALLY seeing sense).

They can hardly expect to play for Scotland when they are young reserve players. Personally if they are not willing to wait until they are well into their 20s and proven first team players then I dont want them anyway no matter how good. That is not a swipe at Aidan BTW. I just dont really want people who are totally indifferent to their own country. I would rather people who have pride in it get the honour.

Nothing wrong with that but there are guys on here that actually enjoy seeing scotland lose because they think that it's like a big * you to the sfa.

I'm not the biggest fan of the sfa but I won't let it get in the way of me supporting the national team

So you would rather the likes of Kris Commons and Phil Bardsley not play for us?

And what's the problem with that? It is a * you to the SFA. No matter what way you look at it.

Support the national team if you want or don't. It doesn't matter either way.

I suppose it's not a problem but I think it's just a bit petty and childish

Glad Charlie has got his call up. If there is one player in Scotland who deserves it, It is him. :50:

That's kind of ludicrous I think. So all dual-nationals should wait until their mid-20s to make a decision? Or only when the sides are equal? If somebody genuinely feels torn between two sides, why not reward one side for their initial push as a tie-breaker? This happens all the time for the US national team because of the nature of the country (I technically count as a dual-national as well) - most recently Mikkel Diskerud (his name is very Norwegian but listen to the kid speak English) chose the US over Norway because of constant and persistent contact especially with the goal of playing in the Olympics, a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Also, I suspect that you mean they should wait until their mid-20s to play for Ireland, but if it's Scotland they could make it whenever they want? I didn't see you commenting about this in the Gary Hooper threads when it was claimed he could play for Scotland in nearly the same manner as you do with McGeady or others in his situation.
