    Here we go again
The one thing I want from the next tranfer window, is Forster on a permanent deal. That's going to take serious money, but if we have to spend several million compensating victims and miss out on FF as a result, then so be it.
We can't change what happened, but we can and must help those affected in any way we can.

We have £40m in the bank.

I’m sure if it came to that we’d be able to do both regardless.

I think Celtic need to go to town with channel 4 over some of the wording of Alex Thomson's report.

This could be why the club are hoarding the cash.
Looks like Celtic are going to be made an example of here .

Nah very much doubt it that’s the reason it would all be civil matters and most payments in civil matters are capped in Scotland

Fair enough, but the report last night seemed to point in the direction of the club shelling out million's

It’s not, the victims will no doubt try and put in claims for damages and too right they should but that money will come from the perpetrators. The fact we never owned Celtic Boys Club means we are not liable for damages either.

Instead I hope we set up a charity fund for every victim of child abuse at sports clubs in Scotland of abuse and make hefty contributions each year and invite all other club to do the same.

If a cop or hospital staff member or any other employee of an organisation is found to have committed a crime against someone while in their employment they have always held the hiring organisation accountable for liability, as the top-tier employer, and for not properly vetting their staff - even if the staffing is outsourced. The excuse about direct involvement with the club is a buffer from full liability, but that we allowed them to use our name to enable their shitshow is on us... that normal fans are 'being hurt' is completely irrelevant - like tax payers footing a bill for institutional offenses. If we also engaged in covering up then even the paper thin buffer is completely gone...

Can't see this not costing us a few million - either by court decree or 'voluntary' contributions... and to be fair, that's probably right in the greater scheme of things
