It was. I've seen at least one statement to the same effect in the past.

 

We put out a few, saying we’re doing an independent investigation etc. As they say no real details can be given due to it being an ongoing Police investigation and court cases as well.

 

Aye I know but we're getting battered from pillar to post in the media. By lawyers. By those who've been abused. By channel 4 now..

Surely we should've apologised about what was happening back then with shady * connected to the club or through the old board....instead of passing it on and now apologising?

I have said before, our old board put business and money before children’s safety. They should be jailed along with the perpetrators.

Maybe they could also start with the House of Commons? This * is ingrained in society yet people go on day to day as if we live in a normal world.

To me this is English media attempt to slow down a Renaissance in Scottish football if we get hit with compo it could stunt the growth of the game

Weve got near £40m in the bank, with a possibility of champions league football, plus McGregor and eduard touted for £25m-£35m each. We could end up with over £100m cash sitting in the bank. Compos not slowing us down. Infact I wouldn't even grudge them if they deserved it.

 

Dont get me wrong I want anyone involved in that stuff jailed but people like lawyers and tabloids hitting out with Celtic should be sued millions they obviously have other agendas just have to look at rangers getting * off the tax man now we laughed and said they deserved it probably did but look at the English media and how they portrayed it all over ... Arsenal Newcastle and other clubs did it and not heard a peep their motive is to try make our nation feel like second class citizens and crumbs is all we deserve

Nobody is getting sued for millions fs. You would need to be as gullible as a hun * to believe that.

 

Sadly, some victims and their lawyers are more interested in a payout than seeing criminals brought to justice.

The club is wise to it, and has acted accordingly.

 

The guy that was interviewed by ch4 who actually condemned rangers supporters says he’s one too funnily enough ..... say he doesn’t remember any of it until he seen bennell on the news in 2018 then all of a sudden it all come flooding back now depending on age he might have a point say if he was three or four but if he’s was older I find that hard to believe as I can remember most significant memories going back to when I was four years old so I am a bit sceptical about his accounts

The * at Thompson solicitors is driving the compo claims, they are getting 25% plus vat of any payouts and as all payouts if any would be civil I am sure matters concerning payouts are capped in Scotland.

you will inevitably have people chancing it 100% but as @Gyp Rosetti said the old board are to blame and I hope we do set aside a pot like Man City did.

what I am sure we won’t do is what the other side of the city did and claimed it’s a different company so go to BDO!

That is ultimately for the courts to decide, but if he is a victim, it is his abuser(s), and anyone complicit in his abuse, who should be punished. They should under no circumstances be allowed to escape justice.

How many wealthy criminals have escaped justice by paying off their victims? How many people have made false accusations in an attempt to fleece wealthy individuals? Money has no place in cases like this; there is no financial aspect to the crimes.
