This is how it feels to be Celtic
Throwing money at a problem is not the answer. We have a capable group of players at Celtic. All it needs is some real tactics and some good, solid managerial decisions. Not saying Lenny is a bad manager, but his inexperience is showing through. That's why I think the benefit of an old head might be constructive. MON, geeza hand.

Lennon built an entertaining team last season with a 9.0 victory being a stand out. He may not have won the title but only missed out by a point in his very first season.

He may not be tactically sound and occasionally has probably selected the wrong side, but then again he has never sent a team out to not play with a striker. Lennon has also never expressed an interest in Gary Kenneth.

He also spotted Kayal, Izzaguire, Commons and Hooper. Comparatively cheap players who would now treble their value if sold. Hype competetive and touchy? Sounds just like Levein then.

    Funny thing comparisons eh?

Firstly, I hope Lennon turns this around. However, if Lennon does leave, would you want a Scottish manager or go down the same route we did with Jansen/Dr Jo?

It would be a gamble as they may know little about the SPL, but history has shown us that normally they know good players available on the continent. Wim and Dr Jo gave us Lubo, Mjallby, Henrik, Rieper etc.

Obviously we couldn't attract a Hiddink or Hitzfeld but there may be good managers on the continent who could do it for us that we know little about.

You really want me to pull posts up from start of the season to prove you wrong? Maybe not yours but alot of people this forum who when you say "we" (including me) you think you talk for, were saying it.

I think it's time to go for Lennon, he has had to many chances more than other managers would have got because of his reputation as a player with us.

He got away with losing the league last season, the shambles against the huns the other week, getting beat at home to st johnstone and humped by a mediocur Sion side etc etc etc I could go on with his failings!!! 3 good months after January is all we've had under his leadership.

Final straw for me was today he's got to go! If he's as much of a tim as much as we all think he will walk, he must know himself the job is to big for him he's ran out of idea's you could tell that by his post match interview.

Am raging we've now become a joke again, as much as it does hurt me to say Lenny must go!!! We're going absolutely nowhere under his leadership, FACT!!

Time for lennon to go. Strugglin to see where any progress has been made since last season.
How much time does someone need before its time enough? yes its only october. And we are that far behind already.
Do the fans really expect us to make up the ground given the performances so far? I cant help but feel all the anti lennon furore has, ironically, bought him more time. Lennon still does not know his best 11. he has failed to address clear areas of weakness. Yeah some of the fans are deluded, deluded if they cant see what a bad state of affairs our rivals have been in and we have not been able to capitalise on that.

Aye your right it hurt in the 90s, hurts me evertime we get beat, whether its a cup final or a friendly, but like I say, you still support your team through thick n thin. We all rejoiced in the thunder Lenny brought back didn't we, we all rejoiced in his free flowing attacking football, that he reintroduced, but it sickens me to hear so called Celtic fans, berating a guy, who is Celtic to the core. Last season, can you tell me how many, weren't happy with Neil Lennon ? Then all of a sudden, we lose three games in the league, and Lenny has suddenly become a numpty, get a grip eh. As I have said umpteen times before, Lenny himself will know when he needs to go, if it ever happens, that is. My advice to the fans, is support your team, support your manager, the season has a long way to go yet. Don't forget, the rallying call ............ We are all Neil Lennon, Celtic to the core. :ynwacelti

You know Gunt I agree with you on Craig Levein
I touted Craig Levein for Celtic manager after the debacle of Tony Mowbray, but we got the novice instead.

I reckon if we approach Craig Levein and offer him the job he will take it with both hands, as I think Levein will be missing the day to day job of club football, and he is the man to salvage what is left of this season for us, we won't win the league, it is too much of a deficit for even a man of Craig Levein's stature, but Levein will rebuild the team from scratch for next year, and maybe win some silverware this season as the crock of gold at the end of the rainbow.

What about Wim Jansen as an assistant? He has had that role a few times before, he has years of experience plus he probably knows about some of the best players available in Northern Europe.

We also have to remember that Lennon has had an exceptionally difficult start to his managerial career on a personal basis, and well done for the way he has handled it,many others would have gave up.

If someone can tell this to Lennon, it would be nice. A mentor to help him become better.

Lenny should walk out before he gets kicked out. I've stood behind him since he got the job, but unfortunetly i dont think he will ever be up to the task of bringing the league title back home.
