I thought Carrick let the pressure off a good few times with misplaced passes, he was trying but it wasn't quite coming off for him.

 

He was pulling the strings all night and won fair few tackles too, couple of misplaced passes isnt much, fletcher was far more reserved in the 1st half.

 

Pablo Aimar is still an unreal talent. I think him and Messi could work very well together in the Argentina Squad. Good result for Benfica. They have a pretty solid defence now as well as some class attackers and could go far this year. It would be * class if Utd and City were knocked out into the Europa League:icon_mrgreen:

Nobody will come anywhere near Barca or Madrid this year. They are so far ahead of the rest imo and it is going to be one serious battle between them for years. That rivalry is only going to get bigger and bigger

 

Can't see anything beyond Barca, Real or Bayern

 

Real look like the team to beat atm

 

If Bayern can keep Robben and Ribery fit, they have a chance alright but I still worry about them defensively. Van Buyten, Boateng and Badstuber are their usual CBs. Wouldn't be too confident sticking money on them going against Real or Barca

 

I just don't see it with Carrick, United need a lot better quality in midfield than him.

They are missing a world-class central midfielder. It was always going to be hard to replace Scholes.

They seem to he a class apart at the moment.

 

The Barça game will be getting SKY+'d. Some loud mouth will no doubt shout out the score though.

 

Tell you what, lavezzi was unbelievable against man city tonight, the guy runs like roadrunner, and he works his socks off, would give my spare nut to have a striker like him, or cavanni.

 

He's fantastic. Napoli have a wonderful team I would love to see them progress as they are a joy to watch.

The scores tonight would have deflated the ego of english football commentators, last week Man City had a path to the final, along with Man Utd who were going to challange Barcelona for the title.

Man City willl prob fail to qualify and Man United will prob make it barrring a catastrophic performance in the next set of games.

Real and Barcelona for the final, if they avoid each other in prior rounds.

 

Milan, barca, bayern, real is all good enough to win this imo!

Yes, I want Napoli to beat Villareal and Man City will not play in CL in the spring. It would be great if Napoli wins Cl. A bit unrealistic, but knows...
