    Just wanted to know what yous would like us to be in this season. I think the Europa league because we would have a better chance of gory and progression.:icon_mrgreen: What do yous think ?

    i would say the CL,But if we got knocked out the Cl in the Playoff Qualifier which means straight into the Europa League Group i Don't think anybody could Complain given the quality of the teams Arsenal,Lyon,Shaktar etc and the major changes within Celtic park New Manager,Clearout with regards to players.

    * all money in the Europa League, we'd have to progress very very far to equal the money earned from being in the UCL.

    Long Term, UCL will ensure the club's stability not the EL

    The Champions League wins every time hands down for the prestige and lucrative monies involved.

    The Europa League would be a decent parachute, but I don't think we should think about it seriously because we don't want to attract it :icon_mrgreen:

    Champions League is where we need to be if we want to progress both in terms of the finance we can draw in from participation and the worldwide appeal of the competition itself. We've been one of the 16 best teams in Europe 2 out of the last 3 seasons when really in monetary terms we have gatecrashed it. If we manage that 2 out of the next 3 seasons I'll be doing cartwheels.

    Giving TM his dues, that qualifying this year may not happen, and a nice run in the Europa will compensate for that on this one off. But CL first and foremost.

    The Champions league obviously has its finnancial benifits...

    But its nice to have the decent realistic chance of progressing in Europa league so its nice to see us there.

    have u seen a handsome hun
    win the league, but engineer if possible the results that take us into the europa league. we cant competes in champions league anymore, i'd rather play teams we have a chance of beating. remember seville....it was fantastic. maybe we could go that extra step one day and win it. that wont happen in champs league. sadly.

    What type of club are Celtic, a Champions League club or a Europa League club. A 1st or a 2nd rate club?

    Tbh, I think we have been by far the weakest team in the last 16 whenever we've got in it, but i'd still much rather be that then lose out to an Everton or a similar team in the Europa League. However with teams like Wolfsburg and Rubin Kazan in the Champions League this season, if we get drawn with them then it could be easier.

    Defo the CL, but the boost we could give our Co efficient off the back of a decent europa league run wouldnt be a bad thing
