That Pennant guy is a classic example of wasted potential, Liam Brady used to rave about what a talent he was but his attitude let him down. Ended up having a nothing career and is currently playing in the 6th tier of English football after a spell at a club in Singapore a couple of seasons ago.

Was he not a footballer? Disgraceful thing to say and then he makes it worse saying it was just banter. There's * all funny about singling a guy out who already will be feeling terrible. Liverpool were getting pumped anyway whether the keeper had the game of his life or not. Cannot believe he's getting blamed.

The keeper must be in absolute shock, will be a laughingstock the rest of his days. If it was only one mistake and it cost them it'd maybe be forgotten about but to do two is unbelievable even De Vries wouldnt have been capable of that.

The players must be raging as well as other than the two blunders they were never under much pressure or being threatened he basically threw the game away and never gave his team mates a chance.

Makes you wonder what will happen, if you are a Liverpool fan or a team mate you'd never want to see him involved again but if he's under contract nobody is going to sign the Keeper who just gifted the Champions League to someone and made an absolute * of himself on the big stage.

 

I think I must've watched a different game cause it looked to me like Madrid were the stronger team even before Salah got hacked off. Without him I thought it was basically a fait accompli.

Madrid just seemed to have too much quality in every position.

But you're usually right about football ILTC so I'm going to watch it again tomorrow evening as I was having a few beers before kick off.

Ramos also barged into the keeper a couple minutes before the goal when the ball was nowhere near him. It's so sad to see such a talented player resort to trying to injure the opponents.
He's done it so often in the past and Madrid seem to sanction it because as bad as Ramos is he's an angel compared to Pepe who is one of the nastiest players I've seen. Another great player but he was capable of GBH on a pitch.

I would hate us to have players who behaved like that. Nothing wrong with a strong challenge but he held onto Salah's arm when they were both falling so that's a time to let go but then he landed on him with full force, it was so obvious to me I can't believe Lampard and Ferdinand said it was great defending.

 

Sergio Ramos will probably go down as the greatest defender in history now, rightly so.
