I'm stuck on the fence with this one.

I don't know where we can magically create loads of money to buy top quality players. There is no money in Scottish football and it will be difficult to recoup money from large investments.

At the same time less top quality players want to come here due to the zero real competition.

Yes we are regressing, but hopefully a new manager will change that.

We see teams doing significantly better than us in Europe with a fraction of our budget. We are no longer big spenders, but we should still have far better than we have.

It's not helping our finances that crowds are down with season ticket prices down, then the TV deal is worth pennies as every single person has a Kodi box these days.

A lot of people appear to assume that it's everyone else's job to support the club financially and them avoiding their little share is ok.

 

As i have said on here before, why is there not a fan crowd funding, or a Celtic fan lottery etc. where all the money goes to buying players the club can do the wages

 

Be like buying a motor and giving it to some other * to drive, plus would you seriously trust Lawwell to keep buying the petrol and changing the oil

He would end up punting it for a profit and telling you to gtf

The crowd funding/lottery would need to have an awful lot of people paying a fair bit to make it worthwhile would it not ? As we see on here people are tight * and wont even part with a fiver once a year :smiley-laughing002:

 

true, but if they want to have a say then dig into their pockets put their money where there mouth is and help bring in quality players rather than moan that the board dont spend enough. Only when its the fans money thats directly going on to a player can we say so.
