    Rubén Baraja has agreed a three year contract with the Club, with Celtic having the option of a fourth year.

    Rubén Baraja (07/11/74) is one of Europe's most complete midfielders with his good tackling in his defensive position on the pitch, as well as offensive qualities as a proven goal scorer. Ruben Baraja has been a consistent part of the Spanish national team since his debut in 2000.

    A delighted Baraja said: "I am very excited about joining Celtic. Celtic is a club which has a fantastic history, tremendous fans and one which has enjoyed great success over many years.

    "Along with the other players at the club I will be working hard to try and ensure that we continue to bring the fans success."

    Celtic Chief Executive Peter Lawwell added: "Baraja is one of Europe’s most exciting players and I am sure there were a number of other clubs keen to sign him.

    "However, we are delighted to have secured his signature and announce him as our sixth signing this summer."

    i don't get angry with things like this, but i'm just baffled

    why do people spend quite a lot of their own spare time just to get their fellow celtic fans hopes up? i'm geniunely curious. i think personally these tubes have too much time on their hands

    secondly, why do it to us and not rangers fans? see, that could actually be fairly amusing to trick them...then say click the link and it could take them to a celtic site/the title presentation or whatever. that would be failry funny...this is just tedious

    Yes thats what i`am trying to say. Its not funny because its a serious matter..we need to by a few more players. However i would be happy with just a left back. I would feel better if we signed one. I don`t like people talking nonsense about signing players that realisticly could never get. I get the idea that this guy is like trying to take the * out of Celtic Football Club. And that is why i get annoyed, but I`am not angry though..just annoyed!

    That's because it was Ronaldinho....and Celtic. Only a chimp could believe that:37:

    * though Regi...I was believing it until I realised that it would make him - potentially - under contract to us until he was 36. Was quite believable to start with.
