Aye. When you consider some of the teams we've played the last few years and the journeys we've had to make this is probably the most favourable couple of draws for qualifying that we've had that I can remember.

Getting ahead of myself a wee bit here but another good thing to note is the next round could potentially see these ties..

    Kobenhavn vs Malmo

    Legia vs Astana

Either way, two good sides would be going out there before the play-off.

    Hope it's Dundalk.

Easy travel and should be a comfortable victory home and away.

Yeah was thinking that when they came out as well mate.

Plus there are teams like BATE who could actually go out to a lesser team who have drawn another lesser team...It's looking promising.

    Very confident at the moment.

Good draw. Rosenberg have regressed last couple of years. Even Dundalk have lost their best players from last season and are struggling domestically.

Wasn't impressed whatsoever by Rosenborg the other night vs Dundalk, they didn't look a decent side at all even though they are top of the norweigen league. Will be interesting to see the 2nd leg. Dundalk would be a good tie, one we should comfortably win. Rosenborg probably a bit more difficult but all in all a good draw with minimal travel.

When I saw Rosenborg I thought it was a disaster but I'm heartened to see people say they're not up to much these days.

Rosenborg has hit a rough patch the last month. They will beat Dundalk in Trondheim as they are good at home. Only lost one in nine home games this season. They also lost their winger and set piece taker Pål André Helland to another injury, which will favour us. Bendtner hasn't walked the league as people expected before the season. Now might be the best time to meet Rosenborg, but we can't underestimate them. They love playing counterattacking fitba and being the underdog.

    Dunno about that.

That would probably give us more of an advantage than Dundalk. With sides like that a lot of their success comes from playing at their tighter grounds.

    Congratulations to Celtic.

Rosenborg supporter here. Our team has been a total disaster the whole season, and you'll have no problem getting through (as for Dundalk, they are even worse). I have followed Rosenborg long enough to know that anything can happen in football, but this years edition of RBK is a joke. We top our league soleley because no other team is capable of punishing our lack of qualities.

Our main problem is the midfield. We sold our very talented CM (Ole Selnæs) last year, and replaced him with a more attacking midfielder that has no qualities in the deep lying role (Anders Konradsen). He looks like a fish on land once the ball is in his feet. The other two attacking midfielders has dropped drastically in form, and they are constantly positioned too high on the field, leaving our poor CM all alone with his struggles. The worst part is obviously that our coach don't see this. Our midfield is simply incapable at keeping posession.

The team as a whole has been incredibly out of sync. I'll post a link to goals scored in the last season, where you'll see that a lot them are good link-up play, unlike this year where we don't look dangerous unless there's a freekick/corner, or if one of our players manage to do something on their own.

Our best winger (de Lanlay) just came back from a year-long injury. His footballing form is questionable, but it's probably a step up from our current LW. Our right winger (Helland) got injured in the match against Dundalk, and he has been playing every match this year (that he has been fit for, that is) despite being useless. He's constantly out with injuries, so that's kind of a blessing right now. As one of the users on our forum pointed out: he should be happy that he's not a horse. He's been having trouble with his legs for three seasons straight now. We'll hopefully field either Rashani or Jevtovic in his place, two placers that cause far more threat.

Our defense is decent at times. But they always let in at least one goal, so there's that. It's often in the final minutes of the game, because our coach has decided that parking the bus is the best option even though we're horrible at it each time. A lot of things can be said about our defense, but I'll finish the post with some Nicklas Bendtner. He's actually pretty good. His finishing, touch on the ball, passes. He just don't know his role in the team, and has therefore been underwhelming for us this far. He's constantly on the wrong place at the wrong time. And when he's not, our wingers have an incredible ability at missing him with their crosses. Just try to pay attention to it, it's truly one of this worlds true miracles.

    Just my two cents.
