You just got me thinking about the ledgends match
I know were you are coming from, jarvis is a cracking player but i think if he came up against Kayal he wouldnt stand a chance because if he did get past him Kayal would have him on the deck in tears:56:
Good luck in the new season mate hope the irish players do well and big Mick keeps his cool :56:

you tell me mate, what team are you wanting up to speed, what players are you wanting match fit, to me it ain't the second team that i want to see, thats the coaching staffs priority, the players are only playing just now 2 games a week, 180 min, players on rotation, and you are of the opinion, that the first team cant handle this, when we play in our own pitch we should have 75% min of our first team play, that way there are no excuses of any kind, and we find out our better suited, new buy in by adding one in, and replacing one at a time, not them all together. playing a second string of so called players, that we are never going to let play again. on our behalf.

Ill give credit to the 5 or so Malmo fans who were at the game though, as they opened out a banner with a swedish flag on it and the name larsson on it. It received a good applause from the majority of the crowd.

Seen the Malmo fans at the end getting a wee cheer.

Havent looked through all the posts but for me the game told us a few things.

Adam Matthews looks a solid player and comfortable at right or left back.

Charlie Mulgrew looked fantastic against probably the two best strikers he will play against all season.

Dan started well but his legs seemed to go on him the second half.

Mphala looked okay, but no better than what we have.

    Lacni looked pacy, but unfit.

Pletikosa didnt inspire in goal. How many more chances should we give him? Didnt have a lot to do last night but was shoddy. His kick outs were aimless at times, and didnt seem happy to play the ball out from the back. The goal he let in was ropey. If Lennon is unsure, dont take him, stick with Zaluska till we get the right person. There is a reason Pletikosa isnt signed up.

Wanyama got a cheer at the start that raised the roof. However, he was a big disappointment. Constantly gave away cheap possession. Didnt impress me at all. At a cost of £1m we cant afford to have players take too long to come up to speed. He will probably get another opportunity at the weekend but must improve.

Wanyama was poor the first 15 minutes, but after that he was flawless. Don't see how you could consider than a disappointing performance unless you were expecting an absolutely top class performance.

Are you serious? I stopped counting after he gave possession away for the 6th time. And that was in the first half. Flawless? Really?? No offence, but you must have been at a different match.

He was a rabbit in the headlights at times. Had one or two aimless runs and a rising shot at goal. But didnt show much to be impressive last night. Also a little rash in the tackle and gave away the free kick for the first goal.

Yeah, it was his first home game and he is young etc, but at a cost of £1m and the hype surrounding him, he was disappointing. And dont blame the fact he was not playing with the first team. He was getting plenty of time on the ball and getting caught dwelling or simply giving it away.

And I wasnt expecting a top class performance, but I was expecting, and do expect better. He may still not be up to full fitness yet, and we can put the unforced errors down to that and give him the benefit of the doubt.

its quite amusing to be honest. some of them saying in a competitive game they would beat us, would be interesting to know if they knew who half our players were
