I think Ledley was carrying a minor knock and was rested..

He didnt need to do that last night he just uses his sheer pace to get past players with quite ease.

I reckon Ledley and Maloney never played because there either carrying a slight injury or Lennon thinks they are key to the Braga game which I think might be the case.

Cheers. Bit suprised at Forrest though, was sure he had a trick or two in his locker. Still a great prospect.

Been some pre-season for Sammy aswell.

I think he thought Liesdon's penalty was definatly going to go in and cause he blasted it over the bar I think he found it funny :56:

Zaluska - Played very well. Saved a penalty as well. Do we need James ?
Wilson - a trier but a limited player
Loovens - very calm and composed, saved a certain goal.
Odea. - Dreadful. Just won't do.
Mulgrew - plenty of spirit and dig. Needs to brush up on his defending
KI. - Too lightweight. Missing in action.
Brown. - Man of the Match. Engine like a rolls royce
Forrest. - This young man is amazing. Would play him in first team now.
Sammy - Rejuventaed, now scored five penalties in a row.
McCourt - Tremendous performance all round. No qualms about him.
Fortune. Awful. Went off injured after flattering to deceive.

You sure about Forrest mate never beat his man for pace to much remember the defender brushing him of a few times , I'm not doubting the boys ability he certainly has it but he is still young and has time to add more to his game

We must have been watching different games mate or it was just very late at night :56: But anytime he got the ball on the wing he just exploded past the left winger/ left back and then got took out by the defender.

Just get the impression that some people are going a bit ott with this guy , he needs time to progress he's a good bit away from the first team regular . People always have different opinions on player performances that's what it's all about mate .

Great time last night at my first Celtic game!!!!! Real treat to be able to see the team in person.. Lenny, McCourt, Sammy.

Here are 5 quick observations I had last night.....

    1) Very wierd to walk into Fenway and watch a soccer (football) game

    2) Brown deserves to wear the armband if he brings that passion every game

    3) I'd be very happy to let Zaluska be the #1

    4) I really need to get over to Glasgow to watch a game

    5) Praying the team comes back to Boston next summer!!!

I agree with that mate but sometimes people can go the opposite way and not give the boy credit because they dont want to overhype him.

He played against Fabio and O'shea and didnt look out of his element and also last night against Grimi and Evaldo.

Forrest showed good pace in the last two games.. Not going to be overly hard on him and say there was no end product , but , he has done the difficult part of getting past his man on two notable occasions , quite easily and then blasted over the bar and put a cross into the keepers arms.. He was also haring into the Sporting half with the ball and decided to just stop running , waiting for a free-kick to be given when brushed of the ball ever so slightly , but he wasn't the only one in our team guilty of not playing to the whistle.. Lots more to come from him..

Two noticable things from Rogne.. A ball fizzed into our 6 yard box from a Sporting player on the byeline was headed clean out of the pitch around 25 yards from goal by Rogne.. That's the kind of headed clearances we have been lacking with the ball usually landing around the middle of our 18 yard box and the opposition picking up the 2nd ball..
In the 90th minute Sporting hit us with a long ball over the top of our defence down the left side.. I think it was Sinama Pongolle who looked favourite to get to it but Rogne with his pace and lengthy stride kept composed all the way and by the time he got to the ball first he had the nouse to angle his clearance back up the pitch conceding a throw 50 yards from goal , as opposed to a throw down by our corner flag that O'Dea or Wilson would have conceded...
