Someone said it earlier and they were right, Janko is a far more exciting player than Lustig. He suits the way we play much more, very attacking and full of pace. I'd feel more comfortable with Lustig in a game where we have to defend a bit more but Janko is a better option in most games.

 

Could just play lustig at CB and Janko at RB and destroy everyone 10-0

 

Thought ae done alright tbf, you can see Ciftci getting back into full match sharpness and we got GMS into very good positions that weren't coming off for him first half. McGregor wasted a lot.

We could have played at a higher tempo but I think our set up was fine and the way we worked possesion the same, more players making bad individual decisions.

With Bitton and Griffiths, with a Forrest or Armstrong as well I think it'd have been a far different result.

It's why I was crying out for Stokes, he excels against teams sitting in like this.

 

If Janko continues how he is going, I wouldn't be against seeing him stay at right back, with Lustig going in at centre half beside Simunovic.

 

What has happened to GMS, he has been rank rotten all season tonight included, but for some reason he seems to play every game and for the 90 mins.

 

Any game of meaning you have to play Lustig, he's our best defender and one of our best players.

 

You are doing Lustig a disservice there. Fully fit he is a real threat going forward.

With Janko in this form we can afford to use Lustig the way we've been using Rogic, and Forrest especially.

Get him fully fit.

 

Only a surprise in formation can provide that, but it won't change so we can expect some tight games..

Commons provides the best chance of an early breakthrough..then teams have to chase more.

 

Derk doesn't want to be fixed... He's happy to sit on his * and pick up his pay cheque.

 

He has a very good cross on him but he's nowhere near as forward thinking as Janko. Don't get me wrong, Lustig is a fantastic player but he isn't your usual full back. An awkward frame and not very quick, which means he isn't very good at beating players.

You're right about the second part. It'll help him (hopefully) stay fit for longer, only has to play once a week or every second week if need be.

 

He doesn't ever seem to be fully fit though.
Even at his 'fittest', he's extremely injury prone. And can't last a full match.

It's not even up for debate who should be starting at right back fit..

Lustig is the better defender by far and is one of our best attacking threats with his superb crossing and occasional link up play and goals..

I'm not slagging Janko as he looks a real player but he still has a long way to go..
