aye, but i don't think that means he can get a start. granted, i'd love to see him play tomorrow but i'm not optimistic. hopefully, lenny brings him in for the final 20 minutes or so

this is from the Q&A session from last week. What Lenny said about McCourt is in bold and it doesn't sound promising like he'd give the lad a start. I'm as big a fan of Paddy as anybody but I'm not getting my hopes up. I would have hoped he'd be over this by now. Read the bolded paragraph below:

Here's a full run down on all that was said, link too prove that i'm not making it up :bbpd: :icon_mrgreen: From a poster on UTLR.

UTLR - UNTIL THE LAST REBEL. - Login

Campbell has been offered 50k a week by Sunderland with a 5k appearance fee on top of that, the greedy * has asked as too match that. 'Never say never' but it most likely won't happen.

When asked about Ledley, Lennon and Lawwell smiled at one another before saying that things are 'positive, don't believe what you read in the media'.

Things with Bullard are also looking positive, 'it's in his hands'. We have reached agreement with Hull.

Paddy McCourt is struggling already with the pre-season running etc. Lennon acknowledges that he is one of the most talented players he's worked with but it's the overall package that makes a player and he is lacking the fitness needed too play at this level and in fact any full-time level. We've offered him a new deal though, the ball is in his court.

I asked at the end about Boruc, Lawwell said that he was on mega wages and we could not afford too give him a new contract on those terms again. He hinted that Boruc was wanting too leave anyway, saying that perhaps he wanted too further his career. Said that he was running into the last year of his contract and it would be a risk too let him go on a free at the end of it. Looks like he's for the off.

Lawwell was asked if he ever considered resigning after the results of that January. He never said yes or no but did say that he shouldered most of the blame for it. He asked, 'what possible motive could we have for letting the huns off the hook? We did try'. He said that we put an offer in for Fletcher and kept upping the ante, we were told by Hibs that they were not selling at any price. Some other targets were identified, no deals done obviously. He said that any money brought in would be reinvested in the team, the board was full of Celtic supporters who only wanted the best for the club. Lawwell also said that we could not spend what we did not have, asked us too look at what happens when you do.

Lenny spoke at length about John Park's role within the club. He's at Lennoxtown '24/7' watching over games. Gave an example of his extreme commitment, as he flew over too Barcelona at 4am in the morning too go over and compile extensive reports on '4/5' Barcelona B stars. He says that Park recommends players and has been left frustrated in the past as we have not signed recommended players only for them to then move on in multi-million deals. He was behind the deals for Ki, Rogne, Twardzik twins etc. Filip Twardzik recently was named best player at the European Championships and we rejected a 'massive' bid from an Italian club.

On the subject of youth, Lenny said he really enjoyed his work with the youths last season and the friendlies they played all over the place were invaluable, replicating the things they would do if they made the first team. Lenny said it was very important in the eyes of us Tims too see our own talent come through the system as we took extra pride in these lads. He said that he would be looking for the youngsters too make their mark in the team on a regular basis and not just 2 or 3 games here and there.

Questioned on the captaincy, Lenny said that he saw no reason too take it from Broony when he first came in as he was unsure what effect it would have on him. He's not made a decision on it yet but said that would be made down the line when new signings had been brought in etc. He said, 'would you give it too Artur? He's a bit of a zoomer...would you give it too Aiden? Perhaps a wee bit immature'.

Lenny said he was hoping too see several players move on shortly, no players named.

On stewarding and policing, Lawwell said that there was too sides too every story regarding any issue but that police should not be heavy handed. He said that he was very positive with the new GB section and said that if it worked he would be looking at extending it, he seemed very upbeat about it. Any issue with the stewards and there name and number should be taken. Email Ronny Hawthorne - Head of Security - If that doesn't get a reply, you should email Lawwell himself.

Lennon said that he was looking at 4/5 strikers. Lawwell said that it would be very hard too bring in Bellamy or Keane given their wages but it's 'not impossible'.

The point was brought up that last season's loan debacle was unacceptable, Lawwell asked if that would be avoided. He said that no guarantees could be given as we had too be opportunistic when given the chance too sign players on loan who we could otherwise not afford as they are on 'astronimical wages'.

Told that the SPL was the main aim for the season, vital that we win it back as we have not won it in 2 seasons - 2 seasons too many. Lawwell said that another Seville was not a pipedream and a good run in the Europa League would be the minimum aim for Europe until we start qualifying for the CL again.

On the subject of the media, Lawwell said that things had gotten 'really brutal, horrendous' with the slating they gave Mogga last season. Banning certain radio stations, papers, journalists etc had been looked at but we cannot do that as a section of our support buys these papers, listens to the stations etc - they're not all huns - and that they form their opinions via these media outlets, therefore we could not exclude them. Lennon said that a dressing room mole had been identified, said that Mogga had gone through formations, tactics etc before the Arsenal game last year but that was all ruined when the mole had went too the media too inform that he had been dropped for the game. That's good enough confirmation for me that the rat * was McDonald. Another supporter pleaded with the rest of us not too help feed the media by phoning into their shows, buying their papers etc. Lots of applause at this plea.

On the question of sponsorship, Lawwell said that we had commercial employees throughout the world but no one would buy into what we were trying too sell, we ended back up in Duke Street and it was either a case of rejecting the money (and joint sponsorship with the huns) or accepting it. This would obviously impact on what Lennon had too work with so we accepted.

The support were praised by both men and Lawwell said that they needed our support more than ever. Lenny said that he knows how it feels to be up against the Establishment etc but that he would do everything he can too bring some success to the football club. Said that he was looking too bring the hunger and atmosphere back into the dressing room which he said was totally lacking last year. Passion, pride, desire and fight was mentioned yet again by Lennon.

i used this site all of last season and the games were streamed live. maybe a min or two behind but nowt serious. dn't think friendlies will be any different.
they have plenty of links to lots of sites so i would give it a go anyway.

anybody who disagrees then please provide a suitable link we can watch it on.
