I see what your saying about Given, but frankly he ain't a patch on King Artur & I mean that - he was one of the best goalkeepers at the world Cup, where he highlighted your point about good keepers keeping * back 4's in a game. Poland really disappointed at the World Cup, but Boruc came out of it with his head held high.
He also kept a keeper from a TOP 4 EPL Club, out of his position, so again I have to disagree with you on that one too & no Dudek wasn't injured he just got lucky with his Grobbelaar impressions & then got found out.

I do wish that NUFC got their fecking act together though, cos they're giving good honest Geordies a showing up these days, I'm sure with a decent manager you'll get back up there again mate.:50:

PS. Keep yer hands off WGS :47:

Id say if we met in Europe (which I cant see happening for a while - no dig :84: ) the tic would win easily over the two legs. Only place you perhaps are better is upfront but that will change once we find the right striker to partner JVOH.

    -- Naka -- Parker -- Sno --Duff(not seen much of him ?)

    -------- Jvoh -- Owen

Theres my team a mix between them but I don't actually know who is our best cm we need to just wait and see it's not lennon or gravesen(yet)

How about * Off you Hun loving * desperate to grab any fan base you can get your fingers on, Sunderland love Celtic with a passion, we have a shared past and a real history( look at the players, the connections between board, backers and management), we share the same values and principles in life, just because Rangers are doing * you's pretend to love the only team in Scotland that's actually doing the job right it won't work mate, your dirty Hun loving * and boy did you grab it and celebrate during the 90's, guess what ,love and hate goes a lot deeper than that, and some people are looking towards a positive future and both teams are achieving it.

    I agree....excellent post..:50:
    I reckon Newcastle's problems run very deep..:34::34::34:
Firstly, they should have got Martin O' Neil as manager
    rather than Glen Roeder...
Secondly, your defence is Pish :38:
And thirdly, and most importantly...I reckon Shay Given is vastly
overated...Boruc is light years ahead of him..:56::56::56:

Imploded you are a grade A *, the only reason im still here is because i know Celtic fans are a good kind welcoming folk, well most of them anyway, why do i know this? because im Irish, i live in the republican town of Newry in Northern Ireland and i fully back any peaceful movement for a United Ireland, i like Celtic and in no why am I a Hun. I support Newcastle for my own reasons, i dont bring in Irish/English history or connections into it because over here in IRELAND those connections are hard to avoid in everyday life, so as football is a passion and hobby of mine i tend to not bring that history into things for a change, consider it a break from it all. Me supporting Newcastle doesnt make me a hun it makes me an Irish Newcastle Support FULL STOP. Why dont you get a grip and leave me to talk with the decent folk around here.

Newcastle squad looks decent on paper. But in reality it is a team full of under-performers and this has been Newcastle biggest problem in recent years. Celtic are without doubt the biggest club. As for the squad it is a tough one. Newcastle might just edge it in individual quality, but Celtic are far superior when it comes to working as a team and battling for results. The celtic players give 100% for the jersey, which isnt what you can say for half of the flops in that newcastle side.

i do admire shearer his loyalty was something rare these days epecially in the premiership... celtic still has a far more productive side. With a squad of players who costs less than newcastles they have a squadthat is far more productive than newcastles though id like to have duff most certainly

I also think u forget boruc is linked with barca and arsenal just now and has been consistent there is not a diffrence in thee legues as it doesn't matter what league you play in. If you are good you will stand out in any league. Look at Given a few years ago....do i need to say anymore except...pish lol. Anyways welcome Decky. I agree with you NUFC have a better squad than celtic, on paper. but we have the manager...the histoy (first team in britain to win the european cup)

I always thought Newcastle had/have some connections with the huns, like newcastle usted to be/is the loyalist club. correct me, if I'm wrong.

It must be terrible being a Toon fan. You support your team to the hilt no matter what and you've got nothing to show for it.

Have you ever had a decent manager? Freddy Shepperd's the problem and all the others on the board who panic appoint and panic sack managers. They should pick the right manager and stick by him for 3 years IMO. Roeder's a joke though, would you be motivated by that wimpy *? I doubt it.

Is it just me or do you sign a highly expensive striker/attacking midfielder when you should just buy a decent defence?

    Here's my 11:

Boruc (Given equal but Artur wins because he's nuts)

Wilson Caldwell McManus Naylor (How is Bramble still at your club???)

Naka Dyer Parker McGeady/Maloney (Duff/Grave both a letdown so far)

JVoH Martins (Owen's a great player but is so injury prone, i'm sure i heard he hasn't score 20 goasls in a season for 6/7 years)

In short, as i'm sure i don't need to say, your defence is *.

I would take Martins and Duff in a shot. They, IMO, are the only good Newcastle players, but they're class. Personally, I think Celtic have a far better team than Newcastle. Boruc beats Given. Better defence. Celtic maybe slightly better with midfield. Maybe Newcastle wins on attack.

Its not about how good a team is on paper, its about how good it is on that big * green thing they play on every week. At the moment there is only a handful of Newcastle players who can walk around with their heads held high, Huntington, Milner, Edgar, and Shay Given. Shay is a better goalkeeper than Boruc at the moment(and we let him go for free:31: ), I love Artur but even the most biased of fan can see he is subject to his moments of madness,he will be the next Schmeichael given time though... The rest of the Newcastle squad is a * disgrace. Newcastle should be a top 6 team but their not. Celtic players on the other hand have given WGS major selection headaches at the moment, how can you drop top performers. The guys getting their chance in the Celtic team are making themselves un droppable.... That my freind is what makes a good team, Not how good each individual player could be if they werent injured or werent out of form. Newcastles two biggest mistakes??????????????? 1. Appointing Graeme Souness 2. Allowing him pay Rangers 8 million quid on Boumsong. I mean until I saw Boumsong I never knew they piled * that high!!!!!! And when is the last time you saw two Celtic players doing their best Rocky impressions on a pitch against each other? Newcastle United have moved backwards since Keegan left... It will take more than just sacking Glenn Roeder either. For a club thats won nothing in the last 3 decades or is it more, the expectations the fans have of the club are unrealistic.... My answer to ur debate decky............ Celtic have a better squad, club, support and history than Newcastle United....
