Iam not saying pirlo is carp iam saying paddy is,as soon as big vic went in beside him he should've pushed up as he is one of the senior players and our most creative player in that line up,thought he hid a lot with square passes, don't expect him to dribble past a whole team just one player and doing so should create a bit of space for others,no way do I think he played himself into CM thought wee filip did more when he was central tbh.

His job tonight was as a deep lying playmaker. His role was to spray passes about and get us moving up the park and he done it amazingly.

His 50 yard pass on to Sammy's toe was jizzworthy.

    MOTM for me.

Thought Twardzik and Samaras had good games, Commons decent aswell.
Bangura and Wilson were * though.
Also Vaughan was a dirty wee bass, good to see Whittaker taking some stick :56:

Positives of tonights match are Mccourt who must play as a dm and also Twardzik he showed tonight how he is so hyped about, he needs to say he wants to play centre mid instead of left back. Lustig looked pretty solid at right back and samaras played very well

Negatives for tonight were MURPHY :54:, he done nothing at all apart from chase shadows, i also think we weren't very good in the final 3rd, we played neat football up until then but then lacked creativity or urgency, we played very wide but with nobody to aim at in the middle (we need a target man).

P.S found it hilarious when Holt tried to barge Wanyama and he went flying

Decent performance and much improved from Ajax game !! Guys going a bit over the top about mccourts performance as per .. Had a decent game but still holds the ball far to long and slows our game down (in my opinion)

    Just few playerS to mention

Twardzik - will be a top top player in a couple of years .. Should have been take off around 70 mins cause of tiredness

Murphy - get rid ! Shocking

Lustig - very encouraging performance (looked a bit like Charlie mulgrew)

    Rogne - top performance MOTM

Na na na na na na, Stevie walked away!

    Sorry. :52:

Thought big Thomas was miles better tonight than we was against Ajax. To be honest, everyone was decent (apart from Murphy, punt him to *) even Lustig, it seems he's gained a bit of confidence during the Euros to be a bit more natural on the ball. Twardzik was a wee dynamo in the centre, really talented young man.

That was indeed a beautiful pass. It's a shame it didn't land at the feet of someone who can finish.

Didn't see the game, but after waking up and seeing the final scoreline I thought FFS not another loss! But after reading the last 10 pages or so in this thread it sounds as if the bhoys played well. Hopefully put in another good performance against Inter before going into the Helsinki game. :shamrock:

I was gutted when they scored

thb the preseasons been pretty useless so far apart from the result against the wee german team, aalen 1-2 celtic. Morale destroying game in Ajax

Better get a decent result against Inter on Saturday (Which I'm hoping to go to) and give us some confidence to beat HJK Helsinki.

Come on Celtic stop messing around!
