What a night, absolutely glorious, then horrific, then glorious again. Broony, Griff, Toure all led us magnificently. Would have certainly took 5-2 before the game.

Sinclair was a penalty. But Wee Jamesy played for it, seen them given. But no.:50:

Coming back with the other two goals just shows the fight Brendan has given the players

BR: "A brilliant result for us, obviously would have preferred 3-0 but 5-2 shows the level we played at.

BR: "First half we were excellent, pressed aggressively, scored 3 & could have scored more.

BR: "We started the second half well & I was pleased, and then we had a spell where we defended very well poorly for 10-12 min.

BR: "Conceded two poor goals, didn’t reduce the space, a wee bit of inexperience for the first goal.

BR: "Then it goes to 3-2 quickly and then a question is asked of you and what we were talking about this before the game.

BR: "At any level you are going to come under pressure at times and it's all about gaining control again and shifting the momentum.

BR: "To go on and win 5-2 really shows the mental strength of the players along with their quality.

BR: "Nowhere near the finished article yet but they look an exciting team full of character.

BR on the Celtic supporters: "In here a few weeks ago & I talked about the supporters being patient, have to say a massive thank you.

BR: "They (the fans) have also taken a huge stride forward tonight in terms of understanding how we want to work.

BR: "When it went to 3-2, before this it might have been an edgy game but they stayed calm & roared the team on.

BR:"I thought they (the fans) were absolutely incredible. The support tonight really helped the players, a big thank you to them.

BR: "We are not getting carried away, still a massive job to do out there.

BR: "It really shows the offensive threat of the team. Some of the football they played was great to watch.

BR: "In the main, we defended well but we must be better - we have to be better, and that will come with more work.

BR on Scott Brown: "He was brilliant. I look at him now &, having worked in England, he could play in the Premier League in England.

BR: "He was outstanding with the ball, his goal was a wonderful finish. His dominance shows the important of Broony playing in there.

Celtic never do it the easy way but at the end of the game we are in a very strong position to make it to the group stages. Some game.

    Rodgers - we attack aggressively.

    Great words to hear.

Not necessarily, there WAS contact but he was already on his way down. Ref will count it as him losing his balance and causing the players to collide because of it. Not a pen or a dive. But it was a dive to me. Forrest is full of dives

If the ref had given the Sinclair and Forrest pens he might have given the claims against Brown and Griffiths

    Sinclair absolutely. Forrest, never..

There shouts weren't either for me. Never 2 deliberate handballs from Griff or Broony..

What we are witnessing right now is Brendan building the foundations of something great here for years to come.

He has only signed four players so far, one of them being a backup GK.

Sinclair has already shown what he can do, Toure has been an absolute rock at the back and Dembele has now scored in the last two CL qualifying rounds.

Just imagine what this squad could look like after two years of Rodgers' leadership.

CL football will be a regular thing here again, the crowds will be back, we'll still be dominating domestically, and we'll be reaping the financial rewards too.

What other manager would have risked going 4-2-4 at home winning 3-2 just shows belief he has in the team already fantastic

Celtic owe me a new couch.

The combination of the tension in my puckered little pooper, mixed with the gastro-intestinal meltdown as a result of our second half defending created a build up of gas with such magnitude than when forced through the pinhole sized gap left by my aforementionedly tense exit, the expelled air had the strength and concentration of a bond-villain style laser gun, which literally (figuratively speaking) sawed my * sofa in half!

    Worth it though.

Where is that wanyama1967 guy? Wonder if he still thinks Tony Watt is better than griff and Broony is useless.

I think we will see a quality signing come in if we make it to the groups

Celtic are bad for the heart.

Probably the reason Glasgow is the heart disease capital of the world.

I fancy us to score at least goal in Israel, so that means Hapoel Beery Mob have to score 4. cannae see it. Mon the Hoops!!

If we defend over there like we did in the first half tonight, I fancy us to win over there too.
