Sorry man, but that was what I saw today. Formulaic, slow-witted, one-dimensional with no real link up between midfield and attack. Falkirk showed us how it was done at times, which made it even more embarrassing.

The one time I remember some real cavalier football with a bit of purpose, Ki over-hit the pass to Forrest, and that was in the 92nd minute.

The shock these players will get when they come up against any sort of quality will be galling for them.

Just home. Not the best football but good win. Created way more chances than Falkirk. On to the final.

Sat in the south stand today, my Dad wanted to get a seat for this one.

My * it is horrible being in amongst the Groan Brigade, the guy next to me actually moved seat at half time because I had the audacity to sing a song or two. I don't understand how anyone can sit in the main stand at CP.

The best thing about the game today is watching what well coached youth can do (Falkirk) and Elvis clearly has something about him as a coach. Quite cheering from a Scottish game perspective. As for us only Stooper (and for moments of quality rather than a good performance) and Broony played fairly well. Ledley was poor. In general our left was terrible today. ledley is never a wide left MF. Cha was his usual rotten self so out defence was * int he FB positions. Usually dependable players like Vic and Forrest were poor. In general the team didnt look balanced so tactics were suspect. Still, its the result that mattered in the end and TBH I actually like it when we are given a good game rather than walk it.

Pretty sure unused tickets mate can be refunded and and you should be able to change the date of travel. I assume coming up from Leeds so should be easy enough to get a train arriving and getting you back for the Sunday.

Ledley wasn't playing left back at any stage of the game today.

That was a good performance, although I'm not sure how much of a full-strength team they played. I'm also quite sure we rode our luck on a number of occassions, as I would expect any side to do if you're up against the likes of Di Natale.

I also think that performance was the exception and not the rule. There is a different set of circumstances when you are the team expected to be winning, ie the favourites, as we were today. You have to break down opponents with skill and quick tempo changes, and an understanding with your team-mates. We looked lost and it's not the first time.

I don't enjoy coming on here and being negative after another victory, it's just the manner of alot of our recent performances have reminded me of the late Strachan era. That team had old players who seemed to have ran out of ideas and steam. This bunch are young and inexperienced, which is why i'm on here venting I suppose; we need a couple of quality players to give some more structure to our play and to coax more out the younger players.

Being made to look distinctly average against Falkirk is not anyone on here's idea of where we as a club should be. It will take time to get there and I'm hoping Lennon and his staff are pointing in the right direction. It's just very frustrating to watch things like our distribution from the back being so awful time after time.

    True that.

Why let it get in the way of a good rant though? :celt_2:

Exactly. It was Izzy then Mulgrew in the second half with Wanyama moving to CB.

I thought everyone who played at CB today played well enough. Not great distribution but didn't really give Falkirk a sniff. FBs were poor though.

Got to say although our great run of wins continues we have been given very good games by a couple of wee teams of late so their is some worry there. A couple of things I think Lenny shouldnt be doing:

    a. Playing Cha. Not good enough for Falkirk never mind Celtic.

    b. Ledley in wide positions. He is poor as a wide MF and today he was rank at LB. It doesnt suit him at all.

Commons should be playing wide left without a doubt.
