    Thank * that's over, my * collapsed. Just glad the collective * of the team didn't do the same.

    Great effort from the players, particularly the last 15 minutes. We started off well then just got dominated for most of the match. In terms of playing football, we were poor. But the determination made up for it.

    Good result overall. Now we need at least 4 points from the two Astra matches.

    Great game to watch and a good win to boot. Gordon was superb.

    I can't agree with the defence getting in to shape though. Some crazy positioning at times with others being solid. The moment that boy was left on his own in the box when three of our players ran to one guy out wide.

    Still some individuals being caught on the ball in dangerous areas but overall it's a big improvement since the start of the season.

    Results breeds confidence and I'm delighted our misgivings didnt result in 1-1, a result we couldn't have complained about given the dominance Zagreb had in the second half.

    Onwards and upwards. :shamrock:

    Defense line still not reliable. But I'm hoping the return of Lustig and Matthews will help. Gordon is incredible. Wakaso, Brown and Kayal fit well into the pressing scheme.

    Full credit to VVD, Gordon, Brown, Denayer, they had all played excellent, And i didnt think i would say this but Ambrose did as well.
    There are definetly thinks we need to work on though like our midfield losing there shape, but on the whole... 3 points baby !!!!

    IMHO

    Positives

    We won
    Gordon...what a performance!
    Back 4 were superb defending really well including Efe!
    Commons goal
    Stokes for Commons goal
    Kayal's energy
    Broonie in the team!
    Griffiths getting a run out and using intelligence at the end..

    Negatives

    We were outplayed for long periods of the match.
    Our final ball is atrocious, from dead balls and in general play.
    No imagination from set pieces
    Johansen passing
    Tonev's shoot on sight policy, very frustrating!:shamrock:

    Anyone with half decency will admit that the far better team today lost. Celtic started well, good action to score and that's about it. Definitely don't see you taking 6 points against Astra but after this match you probably are the faves for the 2nd place, since Dinamo has such a bad mentality and Salzburg is the best team in the group. Still pretty open though.

    We were under a lot of pressure in the second half but we defended well and it was a great win because Dinamo Zagreb were a lot better than most people had expected.

    This game and the last game against Salzburg have equaled any of out champions league games in the last few seasons for exciting play, bar Barca of course.
