It was only a friendly judge the team when the competitive matches start. Would you rather we go and hump * teams and get a false sense of security or play decent teams to find problems and work on them. I know its hard to see your team being beaten as comprehensivly as that but a seasons not determined on friendlys.

    The problem so far

Don't reply just read the problem is them were in form played 18 matches we had played 2

also david marshall was in goals and av got to say hes bad in goals now get rid of him buy a new keeper

So don't go saying we need more players its only going to add to our problem on form we need to get on form before our champions league games

also strachan played some players for the first time this game

lennon-even bad when hes on form
    maloney-just out of injury
    Riodan

Look at Brazil they played easy teams pre world cup to gain alot of confidence. Then when the got to the world cup they were too confident and never turned it on. I think you need a mixture of easy teams and good teams to play against in preseason friendlys.

this is it dc united half way through season 18 games celtic some players have played 1 game some no games and some 2 games
It is easy to tell that they would of had more energy than us getting more players now will only add to our problem and make it worse its good we have still got alot of games another 2 in america 3 in britain 1 or 2 in japan starchan

Don't know if it was just the energy levels, or the lack of them to be precise, but that defense will struggle in the SPL never mind the champions league. Who thought Caldwell was a defender? Varga, now there's a desperate signing. Telfer-no, just no. Wilson at left back? Not doing the boy any favours. Lenny, and the midfield/defense in general is going to struggle against quick passing teams. Anyone surprised that this is the same as last year? Hibs and Clyde, two quickish teams (certainly at domestic level if not European) gave us severe problems. Strachan has not, on the face of it, remedied it. He's been complaining about a lack of experience in his squad, you know what I say? Blame the guy who made it thus.

    We lost because of: form
    lennon playing
    david marshall in goals
    miller getting red carded

we need to be better for the chivas coz there a better team

No we lost because of a combination of loosing a player to a red card(what did he do?) & DC being in the middle of their season and dont have our full squad yet

I'm not worried about this at all really. Loosing will get them going for the new season. They'll be going out in competitive matches with somethign to prove.

Jonny, 3 posts when you could used 1?

People need to keep the same topic in the one thread. I saw three 3 threads this morning talking about the match. There was an offical thread created so people dont have to repeat themselves in several threads. Things can go all over the place.

I did sort of have to pick a random club, but since have been to Parkhead four times and am in a Celtic supporters club over here. It is the most an American can really do, so I'm an adopted Celtic fan.
