shockingly bad. no defending. sammy missed 10 sitters. what a mistake it was bringing in lennon as the manager with no experience. another season lost to the huns.

I'm not Brown's biggest fan but i thought he played well tonight and deserves a bit more credit. Kayal had a great debut and he's quick and the Big Swede looks solid! Also liked Ledley, a lot of folk seem to be dissapointed in him in comparison with the hype but he is clearly a good player. Would rather him than Mulgrew at left back anyway. Samaras also played well and a good finish but he really needs to get off his * quicker rather than just sitting there complaining. Juarez is just quality. Nuff said about him. Bring on the huns!!!

Brilliant first half, we looked really sharp.
Kayal was on fire and Juarez was great. Big Dan is the brick wall we desperately needed at the back and he's also able to keep the rest of the back 4 right.
Thought Fortuné was poor tonight, Samaras wasn't bad but could've done a bit more.
Second half we sat back but I think we should've gone for a 3rd and killed the tie off completely, but the main thing is we didn't lose the away goal and the pressure is on them next week.

Yep 7 years mate, but kaunas wasn't the last team we beat in the first leg of a european qualifier......played MTK Hungaria in the round after Kaunas and beat them 4-0, can't remember who scored but that was the last time. :celt_2:

That first half was the first time in a long time i've been really entertained at a match, thought our midfield was fantastic, even brown.Still think we lack a goalscorer but hopefully Hooper can be that guy.

Didn't know big Fortune used to play for Utrecht???

Thought he'd have gave 110%, like players usually do against former clubs, but i guess thats just not the big man's style. Nothing mentioned about him having played for them either.

Good summing up :50: I thought big Dan was immense and it's amazing how one good player can take control...........for me he was THE MAN out there tonight. We still had a couple of daft mistakes overall.........nothing too major. Zaluska was a bit scary at times and looked nervous and to be honest MAF was woeful......he only seemed to really come alive in the 90th minute.

I just cdnt get over the hunger and fight we showed in the first half and I nearly fell out of my seat laughing when big Sammy got a little aggressive with one of their players and ended up getting booked for it............who knew he actually had it in him:rolleyes: Lennys influence no doubt:56:The green brigade and the comrades were fantastic tonight :50:
