Guess we got the result that suited us so onward we go.However the performance against them wasnt great and the 2nd half was *.

Not sure what the reason is as we have the better players on paper and yet dont seem to be able to produce it on the pitch.I really think our Japanese players need to toughen up.Their great workers with good skills but when it comes to putting your body on the line they dont seem to be that way inclined.

And all this apologising and checking if the player's ok by kyogo has to stop.Part of beating them is the physical side of the game and i believe thats a part of whats missing in our team at the moment.

One other thing, this passing round at the back is madness,we pass it around and risk getting caught out just to boot it up the pitch anyway so just boot it up the pitch and get on with it.

Just reading about the boxing between the Bhoys and the GB. We need that * stopped as it gives our fans a bad name, the SMSM (and our own board) a stick to hit us with and it does absolutely * all for the atmosphere both home and away. Nothing worse than seeing our own supporters fighting with each other so, it's time to sort out whatever differences you may have before it gets worse

Just watched the game again this morning and a few things stood out for me we had hatate up against lundstrum a good few times and a total * mismatch as lundstrum won most challenges .
When the zombies moved sakala into the striker position and they threw on Wright the back four were struggling with their pace but the good chances the zombies made Taylor was caught up the park and trotting back when they went on to attack .
I thought starfelt in the last 10 mins was tiring badly because of their pace up front and we need a ready made centre half to come on .

And a player like Dembele in previous years. What a scoring machine he was !

Agree. I want Bitton on the bench for one major reason when playing Rangers. To maintain the lead Celtic has as a holding player, not as a player who creates or score goals. Needs to come on midway through the second half. He is a good passer of the ball, can intercept, and has good balance. He tackles poorly and has a suspect temper. He does add an element of grit in DM and players are wary of him.

A key point for me is that they haven't had to seriously amend or rebuild their side yet.

Once the core of that side leaves, which could be this summer, it will be upto that * Ross Wilson to replace them. His track record is mince.

They won't easily replace Morelos. That's honestly like a Larsson type replacement for them. Not in the sense of them being similar quality ofcourse not, but what he brings to them as a side and his importance. Particularly in Europe with his record. That won't be easily replaced.

And no, that side, that just there, yesterday, had us on the * ropes for 60 minutes did not "cost a fortune". Ffs most of them were under 3m or free transfers.

    Steve * Davis ffs. Free.
    Sakala... Free.
    Aribo... Free.
    Mcgroper... Free.
    Ryan jack ... Free.
    Arsefield... Free.
    Tavpen...200k.
    Diallo... Loan.
    Lundstrum... 600k
    Easter Island heid... 3m

    Etc etc.

We were * pish. End of.

Behave :56: last 10 minutes aye but 60 minutes? Celtic were better in first 70 minutes although they had a spell after HT with the ball but created nothing up until the goal.

I think of Morelos going as more equivalent to losing in his 'prime' Kris Boyd, if I'm honest... Not particularly brilliant at anything but good for a bucketload in Scotland. Popping a few in for European games is a new thing...

It's hard to guage how they'll respond to us winning this year. Or how we'll respond to winning. You'd hope it's a return to normality, they'll suffer for it and we'll build on, but our display this year reminded me of theirs last - absolute determination to overhaul them and a sense of stung pride in previous season.

I think that them falling apart is unlikely. I also don't see them not getting almost all points against opponents again next year. That means we need to look at how we are against each other to assess our likely strengths. I think that we need to bolster for next year, or it's gonna be the exact same crapshoot as this year - one team winning by about +-5points

Definitely by this time next year, their current core will be either gone or in the last few months of their contract.

Like you said, Wilson has brought in dross so far and that doesn't look like changing any time soon.

They've never had the challenge of facing any players of note leaving, let alone a whole squad overhaul. Their whole style of play may change as they're built around Morelos.

They all thought Morelos' injury would make him more likely to sign an extension. Nae chance. He changed agent recent to engineer a move. They'll get a pittance for him in the summer or January or lose him for nothing in the summer of 2023.

Kent and Aribo, you either cash in now or lose for a pittance in January or nothing in summer 2023.

McGregor and Davis will either retire or be on the decline. McGregor has been up and down all season. Literally his worst season ever. Davis hasn't had a look in and feels like he's a bit like Defoe was. He'll fade away into featuring a handful of times next season. I can't see either retiring tbh. McGregor is more likely of the two but I can see the huns handing out extensions so they don't have to be added to the replacement list.

Balogun and Goldson are gone. Souttar on a free to replace Goldson is something else. Goldson is far superior, and I don't rate him. Souttar will be out for half a season along with Halendar. Bassey is decent but one reliable center back isn't hugely encouraging for them.

Tavernier is pish and no one is buying him. Same goes for Barasic. Both can cross a ball but if you pin them back, they can't defend.

Arfield will be given a contract extension so they don't have to replace him.

Roofe and Jack is made of glass.

Lundstram is decent at what he does.

Hagi, Sakala, Wright and Kamara aren't even worth talking about. They're all pish.

So you're looking at building a team around a defensive midfielder... Lundstram. Lols

His recoed in Europe is impressive for them there's no denying.

And he brings more to their all round play than Boyd ever did.

Definitely didn't have us on the ropes for 60mins.

Those players have done a turn for them but all those players will leave for free when their deals run out.

I get your point that transfer fees they wouldn't have cost much but wages-wise, they're on par with us or even more expensive than our team yesterday.

Hatate was blowing out his * after 10minutes, basically any other player should've played over him bever mind Bitton. In my non agenda based opinion:39:

Hardly ‘end of.’ How about the bigger picture?

Mate they literally can’t afford the squad they have. Maintaining that squad is killing them and to date it’s delivered 1 trophy during covid. That’s a matter of fact.

As I said, we were pish and they were at their best. 1-1 was a fair result. We scored first and missed a host of chances to kill the game. They had to win and had to rely on us missing sitters so they could * something towards the end.

We’re a work in progress and we’re comfortably winning the league. They’re the finished article and they’re comfortably losing it.

On the ropes for 60 minutes? Behave yourself. Lose your argument with comments like that.

And yes, we essentially won the league yesterday, as admitted by the sevco manager.

A draw was a victory yesterday for Celtic.

We played good football for spells. Jota's goal, humiliated Barasic. Loved it. Similar to Abadas goal in the 3 nil game.

Maeda provided the assist but had two clear cut chances to win the game. Squandered. The header, the two shots. He needs to work in his finishing over the summer but I love him.

He's like a human greyhound Maeda. Naturally fast and fit! Love him!

I love Ange. Phenomenal manager. A celtic legend forever.

    We never stop!

We never * stop! The other team wants to stop. Then good for us!

Well * take advantage of it!!!!

Huns can argue all they want that they finished the better team and celebrate a draw.
Both teams had an objective yesterday, Huns needed to win....they failed.
Celtic just didn't need to get beat....We succeeded. End of argument lurkers !!!

I would add in on yesterdays game that for me not that I needed any proof but if any was needed yesterdays showed why we should just do away with away fans altogether. They are absolutely poisonous and noxious. We should just ban their fans from our home league games given their behaviour. No doubt they would do the same in retaliation but thats fine with me.
