A win and a draw will be enough unless they * up.
We will win the league and then with CL money will enhance our team and win treble next season.

 

I've said it before, but the occassional quick long ball from Hart for one of the likes of Maeda, Jota or Kyogo to run onto could really help us out. Not only is there the chance of a goal from it, but it also makes them think twice about pressing us so high all the time as they would be wary of being caught out with the ball over the top. At the moment they know that is never going to happen so they can push up with impunity whenever they want.

 

Having not seen the game, but I'm with you on sentiment. We could draw the next three games and still win it

 

With you mate. This season has been a * gargantuan effort and I'm not going to throw a below par performance in their face. We still had big chances to win today and will be champions come summer. Incredible.

With the exception of LB , and maybe a more combative defensive mid, this side is a great * side.

The problem is either attitude or over training.

Either way, something needs done. Either a firm foot up the hole to at least 4 of the new players and Rogic (who was incidentally chatting * about being a super duper celtic trooper last week) or an adjustment to the training intensity

We keep hold of CCV and Jota, sign a new Lb of the same standard as Juri, get a fit Hatate, Maeda, and kyogo (seriously... how much football have these guys played) and this easily the strongest squad we've had since BR's second year.

 

Same mate. I get the frustrations about the performance and it gives us a week to chew on that but we still got the job done and will now win the league with comfort.

 

Agree our japanese bhoys are dead on their feet.played a shitload of games this season.HH

 

We're still a massive rebuild in progress. Yet we've won the league. * magic. Gives us the funds to go out without selling and continue this rebuild without weakening any area. They may have had a better second half, but half that teams out of contract, old and in need of a rebuild with no funds. This is there last hurrah and they could still only manage a draw against our young guns.

 

Nearly all the Hun Players will play a physical game and can be strong on the ball, not scared to put a tackle in. We have more technical players, but easily bullied off the ball. Of all the players we put out today our only physical players are GG, CCV, Ralston. CalMac can put a tackle in but is easily brushed off at times, same with Starfelt, when it gets physical his tackles become clumsy and the result is needless free kicks given away. All our ball players are just too nice !!!

Sums up how I feel. Massively deflated after that. Yeah we're a point closer to the title but I like to look at the actual performances, our fans did this far too much under Lennon and that's why we ended up sleepwalking into a disaster.

We badly, badly need another midfielder or two with some genuine steel and quality. It is questionable whether Hatate will come as good as we thought he might at the start. I like O'Riley but he's young and got a lot to learn.

Our midfield is ridiculously lightweight in these games and will get shown up massively on the European stage. We actually need a Lundstram type midfielder in all honesty. He isn't that good but he does the job required. We've not got that.

 

Last major challenge? We have to play the Diets yet, a team that is in the Cup Final, no matter what players they start they will be playing for a place in the final.

To be fair, I think they've got a fairly established core of regulars. They have 3rd wrapped up and I think they are playing with one eye on avoiding injury for the final. Think this will be a reasonably comfortable win for us.

 

I was saying before the game that we shouldn't be celebrating anything yet. And I'm still of that opinion.. we could easily and probably should of lost that game.. Its a bit more comfortable now we avoided defeat today. One point closer, that's all today was...
