    Here the whole time
2nd half and the first 20 mins they were far better. We effectively had 25 minutes in that game where we were decent but ultimately wasteful. We were very fortunate they didn't have a fit striker. All adds up to what was a * performance.

That was our last major challenge of the season and that sort of poor performance, again, should be more than enough for Ange to tell the board that we have quite a way to go before we are capable of really dominating the league and being capable of battling on several fronts.

If we coasted today and went 9 clear, looking untouchable, that would have been plenty reason for the board to approach preseason more conservative with player investment.

That’s them at their absolute best both times and both times we’ve been a sitter away from winning comfortably.

We’re a work in progress with Japanese players still adapting to the game here AND their team mates AND the general culture.

They’re a settled team that cost a fortune to assemble and maintain and they can’t get close to us in the league.

We are on the ascendency with a full summer and champions league money to iron out our issues.

We should 100% be trying to improve but this season is a massive achievement. We are aware of the issues but now is pretty much celebration time and then we work hard over the summer!

It wasn’t a pen and Abada was offside. No real controversy IMO.

Agree in a sense with some of the comments here but think a great deal of perspective is required. Aye, our press has been off in some games this year, and we've struggled to play through other teams' press at times, but this is a whole new squad adapting to a whole new style of play.

While I predicted a big win today, fact is there won't be many big wins in these derbies going forward. It's going back to the Strachan/MON days where it'll be * for tat over the season, leagues being won by tight single digits. Sometimes I think our tendency as a support to play down Rangers does ourselves a disservice. They are a decent outfit, EL semi finalists for a reason and also made Dortmund look poor playing out from the back. Aye we struggled at points today but we also had plenty changes to win it ourselves. We have bettered a good side over the course of the season.

Ange has on a long road to being the team he wants us to be, and to have won the games we've won, played the football we've played, and all but certainly won the double is absolutely * remarkable. He spoke about stage one in his post match presser and I've no doubts he sees big areas for improvement.

Up the * Ra. We're gonna win the league.

I must be the only person on this forum still buzzing knowing a single victory in 1 of the next 3 games clinches the title.

Yep - but the good news is he can sort that out and become a great player. If he releases the ball slightly earlier it will make a huge difference. That’s something you would naturally have an issue with coming into a new team in a new environment after a long season in Japan.

    I'm right there with you.

Not a good performance today but the season in general has been terrific.

    Start of the season.

6 points clear 3 games to go.

Our chances to be much clearer, our chances to win a treble? Could these even be possible upon anges appointment?

We will be better next season, this is the start of it.. and we’ve * beat them.

Dismal performance tbh, our passing against them the last 2 games has been diabolical, particularly hatate who looked knackered again and constantly a few yards behind play.
Having said that the result suits us and theres plenty of growth in this team to improve on.

No but Diallo should've been a red.

We don't though mate. We need to beat them over the season and considering where we came from at the start of the season that is an incredible performance. If we hadn't won at Ibrox and dropped a couple of points elsewhere then the 3-0 in Feb would have counted for nothing.

We were pish today, however job done.

strange * game, when we missed those chances, I was saying here we go again! I,ve seen it a million times you don't bury your chances and you keep the other side hanging about, then they score, the momentum switch etc etc. The one thing i'm really concerned about is the fitness issue, thats the last two games against them it looked like we were on fumes in the second half. But on the positive side if you would have told me we're lifting the league title in a "rebuilding" year , I woulda considered you nuts.

    Not for me mate.

They had 1 or 2 players getting back. And abada had touched it wide.

Was a poor ball to him from Taylor in the first place. Should have been much further forward.
