I'd rather have him than Forrest, as he offers pace to get in behind.

The lack of movement was certainly concerning. No urgency. Sake man

    Yes.

On the bright side, Hart kept a clean sheet for the first time this season... so... yay?

That was brutal a team like celtic week before window shuts and we can't even bring on another striker. Far too many players shouldn't be in squad never mind starting first team.. We obviously have to try get a emergency CB for huns game we can't go to ibrox with Liam * scales anywhere near the team. Infact send him up to Aberdeen in a taxi the now ralston bernie utter dross. And ffs get orielly training how to * actually shoot no pass the ball into net.

Your answer leads me to a dark conclusion: in just one cup game, this team have lost the fear-inducing ability that let us beat SPFL teams. Where did StJ get the ability to stand up to the majority of players that were dominant last season?

2nd half was woeful. Even with players out I still thought we should have enough to beat bottom of the league but it was so laboured, particularly in the second half. We had more than enough chances to put it to bed and it could have been 4/5 (either of O'Riley's go either side of the keeper, the game's done) but longer it went on just seemed like one of those days.

The thing that jumps out so much is the lack of pace with our play today, it was so * slow in the build up, both with the people moving and on the ball. I know it was a friendly but see even the Wolves game preseason, we looked ten times sharper.

Lagerbielke played some decent passes out from the back in first half but the movement was non existent at times. Scales looked like he had no idea where to go when moving forward at times, but folk were just standing looking at him.

Yang was good, Joe Hart saved us a point and some of the play from O'Riley, Haksa and Lagerbielke was decent but overall it went from average to brutal towards the end.

Don't think Taylor was brilliant today by any stretch but Bernabei is never a player.

Think we had 19 corners and barely threatened. We played a short corner which Haksa almost scored from, tried one more, then went back to just pumping it in. * useless when we don't have anyone who actually attacks the ball.

Will just patch this thread the night as I can see it's already full of I told you so pish and even chat about sacking. I've seen us play much worse than today and win fairly easily but I hope Brendan has a plan for training in terms of upping the tempo, as that was my main gripe today.

I said the same thing on here and to pals not so long ago. Said I’m not a conspiracy theorist but he has been front and centre for a wee while now and it’s gone backwards again.

Ange berates and screams at players for passing backwards and no showing enough urgency.

Rodgers encourages it. His whole ethos and game plan is keep the ball at all costs. Doesn't matter if we're 4-0 doon, 4-0 up or drawing with minutes to play in a cup final .... Keep the ball at all costs ! Pass for the * sake of it.

It's absolutely horrific to watch and it needs stopped before this season is ruined.

Site is a shambles mate. Best Celtic forum going by the usual posters, even you included :99:

But it's a joke how slow it is and the adverts. It's ruined it.

Worryingly, we looked disinterested, laboured and lacking creativity. We also lacked a leader out there.

I am worried not only for next weekend but for the season. Already out of a cup, dropping points to the bottom team in the league and facing our greatest rivals in the worst form I have seen since the end of Lennon's tenure.

Let's not kid ourselves on either, yes the Huns aren't much better but they will be smelling blood right now and unless the board and Rodgers spend big with tried and tested quality players, 4 minimum then I fear for the season ahead.

No urgency whatsoever, at home, to bottom of the * league.

Second game in a row without scoring.

Knocked out the cup at the first attempt last weekend.

Team considerably weaker than the one that ended last season.

Ibrokes next weekend with no Hatate, no CCV and no * clear tactics.
