Could quite easily see 3 at the back again with Jozo back in. Forrest right and KT left..

Bitton at centre-half then? Do you know if we have any academy players coming through in that position, mate?

Bitton is a shout for playing from the back. Wouldn't be surprised to see him but I think we may see Jozo, Boyata and Ajer possibly..

Aye we've got this quality young boy Wallace Duffy coming through :fear:

He played 60 mins Development before Christmas and was in Dubai so he might be OK.

    I’d forgotten about Boyata.

    Sounds promising. :giggle1:

I would play Gamboa as hibs have good pace out wide, especially that Brandon Barker if he plays, he's rapid. Either that or 3 at the back with jozo starting.

I'd play a back 3 of Simunovic, Ajer, KT

Is Gamboa still here? Thought he was punted out on loan?

The lad Barker who plays on the left for them is rapid. Genuinely cannot figure out why Gamboa doesn't get a game but if he can't get a start ahead of Lustig on Saturday then he seriously is finished here.

    I'd go

    Gordon
    Gamboa Boyata Ajer Tierney
    Brown McGregor
    Forrest Ntcham Sinclair
    Dembele

Think it'll be tight again, 2 or 3-1.

Gamboa won’t start because Rodgers doesn’t trust him after pre-season when he was supposed to be available for the qualifiers and chose to represent his country instead.

As frustrating as that is, surely the hatchet needs to be buried to benefit the team?

If he has no intention of ever playing Gamboa then we should have been acting urgently to get him out and a capable RB to come in. Leaving him languishing on the bench while Lustig toils benefits absolutely no-one.

I’d tend to trust Rodgers judjement tbh.

    Ralston can’t be far away.

I don't like being critical because of what he's acheived but RB should have been an absolute priority this window given Lustig's form and his reluctance to play Gamboa. Hopefully there's someone coming in over the next 6 days.

Ralston while a decent prospect, isn't the answer just now.

Sky sports news saying brendan is holding a news conference at 1.30, im guessing thats just the presser for the hibs game? Or is that usually a friday?

Yep. If that’s the reason (and it might not be) why Gamboa has been bombed out then it’s ridiculous.

I would love to see 2 up top with dembele dropping deeper

    Gordon
    Simunovic
    Ajer
    Tierney
    Forrest
    Brown
    Kouassi
    Ntcham
    Sinclair
    Moussa
    Griffiths

That's the team I would like to see

I’m quite happy with Lustig and Ralston as back up, if Ralston’s not nearly back we need cover though. I don’t think Lustig is finished but his form is terrible, making amatuer mistakes that he doesn’t usually. That’s when you need someone to take his place, we don’t have that at the moment.

Priority for me this window was CB, * unlucky with Comper’s injury btw, and a goalkeeper who can make th difference at the highest level.
