Emergency loan would be an option for a keeper surely ? Would give us extra time to find one.

 

Think we will need to get a keeper in in one way shape or form, be it a loan or otherwise.

 

I really hope we've been scouting for a GK over the last two years. 2 main goalies are in their mid-30s, we've known a change would be needed at least relatively soon.

 

BR apparently said on SSB we might need to look at a keeper.

 

No doubt but getting a fee agreed and contract talks etc might be an issue if we're already in talks with other clubs and players just now.

 

BR saying Leigh a doubt for Europa fixture. FFS. That's seriously frustrating. Another two first team players out for the foreseeable future.

 

Let's see the ambition of the board now, hardly an exaggeration to say it's an injury crisis heading into the Zenit games if Gordon, Ralston, Armstrong, Rogic, Roberts, Hayes and Griffiths are all going to be out, Gamboa frozen out of the squad, Sviatchenko & Henderson punted, and Compper ineligible for Europe.

We either accept another European hammering or we heavily invest in this window.

Good first half, albeit we should have been 3-0 up. Second half was abysmal.

Thought Jozo and Brown were the best players on the pitch over the 90. Ntcham was great in the first half but fell out of it.

Gamboa was on the bench today. Think Ralston is nearly there too.

Really missing Rogic - would love him back for Zenit - even more than Paddy.

 

What was the defence like today?

 

Pish game really, first half not too bad, 2nd we just seemed to sit back for half an hour not bothering our arses to try and get the 2nd goal to kill the game. Brown, Jozo and Tierney played well I thought. Dembele had a stinker, one of those games every touch of the ball went astray although the last 30 minutes were a write off as we barely attempted to come up the park so he never got involved.
