yup we became ultra possession orientated when brown started to get older and started to lose pace in his legs, this then leading to not taking risks in the final third in case of breakdown of move and the opposition came at us fast on the counter attack and showed up browns weakness

pace has never been more crucial in the modern game you can combat that with experience and positioning like the great baresi and others did but its not something you can do forever

simply put weve became really unbalanced, was it under ronnie in a cup semi with the huns that they targeted brown and started to run through us and that was how many years ago now

I know we’ve been poor this season, but I’ve never seen a side get so much bad luck off the field in such a short space of time.

I would love to see a European detailed report in covid spreading amongst sports people.

Like in all of the European leagues, what is the infection rate because to me, clearly, its higher than me going about my business every day to work and back.

Luckily as they are all young and incredibly fit individuals, this won't be as risky to them as it would to those who already have underlying health issues.

But its clear footballers are catching this easier than most.

Seems on a regular basis now most clubs senior squad are seeing 3 or more of its players affected by this.

Is it not just because they're getting tested for it more than the ordinary punter? Wonder how many of them would even have known they had it had they not been tested.

May well be, but clearly the sport isn't exactly conducive to social distancing measures is it?

14 or so guys travelling up and down the country playing another 14 guys, then if you play at a high enough level your then called up by your nation, travel to all corners of world to then play another 14 or so guys you'd likely never otherwise play against.

Effectively bar the lack of fans footballers are still going about as business as usual and clearly that is resulting in the virus spreading.

Yes it may be because testing is more common within their industry but to me, all that highlights is how stupid this whole thing is that football can go on like this, but for us average arseholes there is sorts of differing travel restrictions on where we can go and what we need to do if do go.

But footballers for lack of better term arr given free reign to mingle with an unlimited amount of different people over the course of this season.
