We need a cull of the squad. Too much dross who should be nowhere near the club.

Well that was a kick in the baws.

We were a bit unlucky really, two shots cannoned off the woodwork, and Aberdeen score with an absolute howler from Schemeichel.

I felt the subs were wrong, and at the wrong time too.

Why take off your two top penalty kickers, when extra time was already looking like a distinct possibility ?.
Some bad tactical mistakes by Brendan unfortunately.

I did warn at the beginning of the week about complacency and expressed reservations about Schemeichel.

What more can you do ?.

Felt we should have pressed hard for a goal in the 2. ET half, but didn't.

I don't even blame Rodgers for today. And I'll be honest, losing to the huns at home hurt 10x more. Wake up call needed

We did, but we were knackered.

Maeda clear through, one on one against their goalie, and he blows it.
He did the same gainst Rangers at Ibrox.

Lacks composure in front of goal, and is not a natural striker for me.

Khun and maeda are players with tons of pace over 20 yards or more

So what do we play ? we play a pedestrian side to side possession game! does that make the best of them players ?

I know teams play ultra defensive against us the low block every man behind the ball style stuff

and that makes it easy for us to play a possession game

BUT that doesn't mean we shouldn't look to exploit teams with our pace when we've got the 2 fastest players in the league

That's the * that frustrates me watching Brendan's bore fest football and tbh I don't think the players like his football either

    Tell me I'm wrong ?

We do but it's been the case for years now and nothing has changed. I see no reason to expect it to this summer.

Pretty gutted but Yep can’t win them all, winning trebles isn’t easy, only won 2 in over 113 years, can’t take them for granted as a lot of us probably do now, can’t win them all that’s why I never take the good times for granted HH, see what next season brings

We've had plenty of wake-up calls but while the trophies keep coming in we don't heed them. There are glaring deficiencies to this team that have been there for ages but nothing changes. Sad thing is they'll probably still be there this time next year.

We also hit the post and the bar and Maeda should have finished that chance off before extra time

This feels like it’s been coming for some time, our performances since around February have been pretty inconsistent. Some really strong ones mixed with turgid ones but losing a big game has been coming and it happened today.

Penalties are anyone’s game and the Aberdeen boys showed bottle where some of ours didn’t have it today.

I think our team without Hatate and Jota lacks real creative talent and a lot of our attacking players are limited. What we have in reserve is a disgrace and miles below the required level. To have so much stock pilled in the bank and have a bench like that without many injuries is poor squad management.

We could geniunely do with about 10-12 players out and about 7 minimum in.

The board have been reactive and continue to do so, we have zero net spend and to be fair should have got a forward in during the January window.

it’s happened time and time again. My only concern is we are not guaranteed champions league football and the way they have conducted business previously regarding this I can’t see changing at all.

I agree with the actual what the money has been spent is it value for money regarding the investment but that’s a completely different conversation really.

I have a feeling they will roll out the old excuse book, we don’t budget for champions league, we can’t get the right sort of player, still time in the window etc.

    Big summer ahead.

So is plenty of other young Footballers but the fact is he will get praise when he’s playing well and be criticised when not and for some time he’s been performing below par.
