Maybe I'm overthinking it because I don't trust the club or Rodgers for that matter; but those comments are harrowing.

"We might have a 15-20m player there in the youth, you never know"

"Last time I played Forrest and Roberts. We have enough adaptability ".

    "We'll see what's available ".

I think its vital we get a LB and another winger in January. Abada not back until February and Taylor has been pretty poor this season, and his current replacement is worse. Looks like we'll target a ST, which is also good.

I'd like another GK and CM bit I suspect they'll be for the Summer window when Siegrist and Bernardo is gone.

Sydney Van Hooijdonk would be an excellent striker option imo.

That's quite literally what he might as well have said FFS

Must be the only club in Europe sitting with zero net debt and 70 odd million in the bank, where the manager is hinting at relying on youth to patch up a first team that already needs serious reinforcements.

We really can't afford to * this one up.

Hopefully we have been busy working on things since the balls up in the summer..

We need to lose some players but we need 2 or 3 QUALITY players in.

Kobayashi must be for the off. Nowhere near the team.

Squad size of 31 is ridiculous.

    Seigriest
    Bernabei
    Kobiyashi
    Phillips
    Kwon
    Johnstone M
    Tilio
    Mccarthy
    Lagerbiekle
    Ideguchi
    Abada

Could easily all go on loan or permanent deals

I think folk are getting their hopes up (and setting themselves up for disappointment) on this…

If we are 10 points clear or thereabouts and won the derby…

… I can see the club spending somewhere in the region of fuckall. Europe will be gone and the only aim will be to stay just that wee bit ‘enough’ ahead of the govan filth.

I’ll be happy if proved wrong… but now I will remain the cynic I am.

    Same here.

I'm passed the point of even hoping with these clowns.

The evidence is right there to see, they've no intention of investing to make us competitive in Europe.
Just enough to keep us a yard in front of Sevco. Which they thought they did during the 10iar season.

Did they learn a lesson? Nope. They still see that year as a perfect storm of things going wrong, out with their "control".

Celtic are planning to sign up to three first-team stars in the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

The winter window is regarded behind the scenes at Parkhead as far more fruitful for the top Scottish clubs than it is south of the border.

A well-placed source has told Football Insider that Celtic are convinced there is great value in January and confirmed they are gearing up for another major recruitment drive.

As revealed by Football Insider on Saturday (25 November), Celtic are stepping up plans to sign a new goalkeeper – which is the priority target for the Hoops.

Joe Hart has remained the undisputed number-one shot-stopper but is out of contract at the end of the season and the Glasgow giants are now ready to look elsewhere.

But the Parkhead club also looking for reinforcements in key outfield roles as they look to retain the Scottish Premiership title

Celtic have historically been active in the January window, signing the likes of Hyeon-gyu Oh, Matt O’Riley, Reo Hatate mid-season in previous years.

The Hoops made 10 signings in the most recent summer window but are keen to add to their squad even further.

Brendan Rodgers’ side sit top of the Scottish Premiership after playing 14 games in the 2023-24 campaign.

However, they are on the brink of being eliminated from the Champions League and will need a strong showing in their last two group games to secure Europa League football in the new year.

Celtic will not secure another domestic treble this season after being eliminated from the Scottish League Cup earlier this season.
