If mcgeady came back he would instantly be our most creative player by a mile. Also, i seem to remember him crossing the ball with one leg behind the other at pitoddrie - from which we scored. Look up any video montage on you tube of Aiden and you will quickly realise how good he was.

    Honestly.

If I remember correctly, we didn't score from that cross. I could be wrong, though. But the cross was flashy, I'd give him that.

I loved him while he was here but I wouldn't want him back. Let bygones be bygones.

The problem with McGeady was the same we had with Di Canio which wasn't really his fault. If we were struggling we would get the ball to him and expect him to create something every time which isn't realistic.

We play better as a team now and a lot of our play relies on one touch passing between Hooper, Stokes and Commons for example. Aiden would slow this down as he may want to beat a man maybe twice instead of being more direct like Forrest.

Look up Stachan's last 16 campaigns and you'll see how creative Aiden was

It's good when it's busy but in saying that i'm glad we have a good enough squad not to have to be busy, transfer window has it's moments.

Skippy scored a header from it, think it finished 5 - 1 in the end.

McGeady would flourish in this team. Would absolutely love to see the wee man back but I`d doubt it will happen

Where are you getting these confirmed £7m bids from 2 separate clubs haha?
There's no point in comparing him to any Premiership/Championship player as their prices are hugely inflated. I'd like to keep Hooper, but why is it so essential that we keep him? For 2 Champions League games he's needed and other than that, not a lot. If he goes in the summer then we'll get an even more reduced fee.

Considering the bidding started at around £5.5m you've got to be kidding if you think we can get over £10m and the likes, take the green tinted specs off.

STV reporting that we are in contract talks with that young Swedish keeper we had on trial.

This is bang on, i've said this on numerous occasions. People seem to forget how much we relied upon McGeady. The amount of pressure on him at the age of about 21 was ridiculous.

That was when he skinned the defender with the double drag back. He crossed it with his left foot and McDonald scored from about a yard out. It was a different incident.

I honestly don't think we're actively trying to bring anyone today in or even had any intention of doing so. I think we have contingency plans just in case an offer we can't refuse comes in for Hooper which would probably have meant Johnny Russell but that's about it.

A low-key 2nd or 3rd choice keeper was always on the cards, in fact it's so low key I'm not even counting it as a signing :smiley-laughing002:

Southampton and Norwich. It's fairly common knowledge to anyone with a paper/radio/tv/computer/laptop/phone mate.

It's not green tinted specs to say that Gary Hooper is worth a * of a lot more than 5 * million. And we won't let him go for anything below 10 mill, luckily we have Peter Lawwell in charge and not you who would let our star players leave on the cheap!
