So, really, Green Brigade or not, now that Rangers are no longer around to hate and point the finger at, we're turning the hate and pointing the finger at each other?

I am not proud of that.

A week and a half ago, I asked if there was a schism between a certain element of Celtic's support ... many said, "No." I disagree. All of this proves otherwise. It's sad.

There's no question Celtic supporters come from all walks of life, and for those removed from all of this ... geographically ... this whole, thing, I guess (not to sound disrespectful) ... is really, really hard to understand.

This solely seems to be a "Made in Scotland" problem for certain Celtic supporters.

Again, that's a huge leap. Holding a tricolour does not mean you believe Celtic are an Irish club. If we started bringing Spanish flags to games we would be Spanish.

The facts are that we a club who were formed in Scotland, who play in Scotland, who represent Scottish coefficient and who were incororated as a Scottish entity on companies house. That makes us Scottish, unless on course you're a believer in the old separate club/company theory of Huningdom? :50:

Poor excuse? My reasoning behind it isn't an excuse.....I dont feel I have to fly the flag of my nation of birth at a football match.

I think you will probably find that the majority think we are a Scottish club with Irish roots, because our club was founded by Irish men doesn't mean it is Irish.

We might have a predominate number of fans who are from Irish descent....again....doesn't make the club an Irish club

    i'm not telling anyone anything.

I'm using the facts to back up my opinion and the facts show that the majority of the support see themselves as more Irish than Scottish, that cannot be disputed.

Once again, why do we hold the tricolour and not the Saltire then?

Do you genuinely think that Marie ? It has never occured to me before that people wouldn't take Saltires because they are blue. Really can't see that as a problem.

How can you not see this? I LOVE Celtic, but I've never been to Celtic Park ... I don't know if I'll ever have a chance.

I don't know anyone, personally, who "belongs" to the Green Brigade ... conversely, I don't anyone who dislikes them. I don't live there.

It's different being thousands and thousands of miles away ... across an ocean. It's different.

The folks who seem to constantly go back and forth over this only seem to be folks who live in Scotland, Ireland, or England.

How can anyone like myself, who's lived in Toronto for years, understand all of this? I can't.

I have my opinions over this, but it's probably best I just keep my mouth shut.

It's been explained to you plenty of times already.

And once again, fans holding flags is not representative of where a club is from. You're ignoring every piece a factual evidence and simply repeating this tricolour = Irish club diatribe.

Pish! You would love us to be percieved this way. The reason I think that today the tricolour is waved is in tribute to our founders and because it contains the colours of the team. We are Scottish and the majority of the support know that.

Well, apart from telling us Celtic are an Irish club.

Where might these facts be found? All I've seen so far is your conjecturous opinion that the majority of Celtic fans feel we are an Irish club and that this is evidenced by the presence of tricolores within our support. You have absolutely no idea what the flying of the tricolore means to any individual be it the expression of their belief that we are an Irish club or an expression of Irish cultural identity within the context of a Scottish football club.

Ah good old Talk Celtic, back to these same issues again.

What facts would they be? I love how every single Celtic fan who correctly identifies the club as a Scottish one - established in Scotland, played Scottish football for over 125 years, stadium is in Scotland's biggest city, has majority of fan-base from Scotland/expat Scots - but with important and special Irish roots. Whereas the fringe like you, can't help but make an unsubstantiated assertion that we are more Irish. Your best argument is that it's 50/50 but suggesting it's more Irish is nonsense. No practical, factual or statistical information you provide, rather than nostalgic romanticism, can back that up.
