Solution around this is but another ticket for Sunderland in Ma different name

 

Two home games turns into two home games, plus Sunderland, plus Rosenborg away plus probably Partick and Killie away as these likely to go on sale before hearts game.

What a farce.

 

Not sure how they can force or implicate that fans can't attend the Sunderland game.

A football banning order is the only legal recourse for this.

As for Mr Hawthorn, I have experience in dealing with this gentleman and find him nothing more than an arrogant *.

 

He's a * of a man and not surprised one bit his footprint is on this, not wanting members of the GB in the stadium or at away matches is a new turn of events and gives credence to the notion he has always wanted them banned (something he has been overheard saying)

Well * him and his authotarian and dictatorial bullshit, he will be pleased to know a GB member is using my ticket on Wednesday as I can't go, if he thinks this is a battle he will win he's no chance

 

They can't stop you from attending away games using someone else's ticket. But then if they know you, and see you, they can simply extend your suspension from home games.

 

Me too, I've mentioned the incident several times over the years so I'm certainly not jumping on any bandwagons here and talk from personal experience when I make my judgement on him.

Arrogant * is about the sum of it

 

I assume most people have already bought their tickets and made arrangements for the game. And I think they know this.

Personally, I think the club are ripping the hole out it now.

 

Nah that's the club ripping the * into this. Keep this up and it'll damage the club big time. Fans come first.

 

It's just the front part. Most got these through the GB though so should have been aware of potential consequences of this.

 

What I Don't get about the GB is their lack of transperency/clandestine nature. Like the Spirit of Shankly supporters union for the Kopites have a publicly available management committee/chair etc and a joining scheme and they are transparent about organizing banners/sitting close togheter and have a democratic structure.

Why does the GB not have that? All seems a bit cliquey and cloak and dagger which is a shame, as I'd like to get involved.

 

I think that's just the nature of 'Ultra' groups mate. They are wary of who gets involved and you maybe need to prove your worth before being 'allowed in'. Perhaps they feel they would lose their edgy-ness if they were more open.

I've floated about their forum before and it's not the most welcoming in my opinion. I know some members aren't happy for a non group member to wear GB merch. They don't want the group associated with anything/anyone outwith their beliefs/ethos etc. Might have changed now tbf

If you want to get involved though man, just join their forum and start from there

 

Banned from away games now as well this is getting ridiculous.

 

With the club flush with season ticket holders and a waiting list.. you've got to wonder if this is a move to disband the GB altogether. Ban and refund them and sell tickets for that section again.

It is incredibly harsh if some of these guys have already booked flights and accomodation in Norway. Refunding tickets is only a small part of the total cost.

Honestly man, * this * board.

One of the most successful seasons in our history, where the GB provided unwavering support game after game and at the first opportunity, they're treated like * idiots and thugs.

These guys are the lifeblood of the Celtic support. If it wasn't for them we'd still be sitting in a * funeral parlour every fortnight with a half empty stadium.

I've sat in 111 numerous times and it's one of the best experiences I've ever had, people go because of the atmosphere they create. And this * tory board would do well to remember that.

Theres a tone of palpable arrogance in that letter.

 

Cheers. Shame they are like that, like I said I'm a Socialist/Communist and very very clear about my support for Irish Republicanism and supportive of ultra like support for Celtic.

But that more transparent model works for Spirit of Shankly, maybe more fans would understand GB better if they did that?
