I'm sorry but the gist of this post is that you've followed Celtic for 40 years but as of next season won't because some Celtic fans don't share your political views.

The Lord Advocate has overruled the decision, and the lad has been given bail. He's out tonight.

    Great news! :celt_2:

    You mean like this?

"To all these ones that hate the IRA and the songs, why dont you stand up at away matches and shout people down.I dare anyone to stand up at Inverness and shout * the IRA. No dont think so!"

The obvious implication being that sharing that opinion would not be welcomed.

    Great to hear..:50:

That would have been a major * up on their part, To show just how backward and anti Gb they really are.

Politics shouldnt be about Football either :56: why are new laws being introduced to criminalise which has always been legal behaviour at Football games?

Also tell that to Walfrid and the likes who started Celtic, if it hadn't been for British/Irish politics Celtic wouldnt need to exist.

    Great post mate.

I really am sick to the stomach that the Celtic board have said nothing about the treatment of our fans from the authorities. :42:

Fantastic news, hopefully the response from the Celtic support has been a factor in the Lord Advocates decision.
Lets not forget though that this Bhoy will still have a football banning order and may face a trial, this case still needs challenging and he will need our support.
We need to stick together on this, the fight goes on.

The time is now to get behind the lads that have kept Celtic Park alive at times for years now.

I know the atmosphere is improving now but there's countless matches I would have enjoyed much less if the GB weren't keeping the ground alive. Get behind the GB. Let the people sing.

If football wasn't about politics Celtic wouldn't be here. It's not just politics it's culture.

Stop being silly mate, the people on here are just the minority, if it was the majority who wanted to stop the IRA songs then why would they be belted out every second week. Like people have said before the hardcore of the celtic support are guys like yourself who are there to support the tic week after week not the ones who never go to games and look to moan about the songs on here at any given opportunity.

Okay i see that some people are trying to give me reasons for singing about politics at a football game, its always been done? Dont make me laugh, does that mean Rangers should only sign protestent players cos that was always done? Of course not. Admit it lads, its time to move on for the better of our club.

The same songs we sang on being awarded 'best fans in the world' in 2003.

    * what the tabloid media, corrupt police and a media obsessed lawyer thinks.

Let the people sing. We WILL NOT be silenced.
