Yeah that was a concern for me as well, international break seemed to fall at the perfect time for them. And even then our first game back after it is away. I dont think we play again at home until the 27th of Sept which is nearly a full month later. So I'm really hoping that the outrage is still in full flow come then and they are under even more pressure up until then.

I dont think we will be rid of Nicholson easily sadly.

Boards statement has more or less said no blame for the summer lies with the board.

Getting rid of Nicholson would be like admitting a mistake and seems like they have chosen to double down instead.

I think their reaction to these no confidence statements will be to start lashing out.

 

I do believe there is some truth in the difficulties with agents and all this stuff and it definitely can be challenging attracting quality to Scotland..

The fact is though, all clubs face difficulties with agents and playing in Scotland isn't a new problem. We've always had these issues, they're not new and the board are handling them as if they're surprising. The strategy is all wrong in approaching this, clearly, and they seem oblivious to the fact it's their fault that they fail to over come these hurdles time and time again. They need to go.

 

If Aberdeen can sign Karlsson on loan, we have no excuses about attracting players to Scotland.

Plenty of players would cut their hand off to come here, because of the doors it opens.

 

Aye the excuse to attract players doesn't wash either.

Plenty of clubs managed to get decent transfers done in a timely manner, in Scotland as well!
And plenty clubs across Europe attract players to perceived worse leagues.

All the minutes does is layout the excuses we've heard for decades, without the condescending statement the club put out last night.

The board will do nothing except double down on their contempt for the support.
They know the fans will attend matches because the fans don’t want to risk losing their places at Celtic Park.
The only thing that would work is a boycott of all home matches but they already have the season ticket money.

My feeling is that any hope of the board sweeping this under the carpet and hoping that a good run of wins would appease the fans has now gone. I think they are beyond the point of no return.
How long it takes them to realise that and how messy it gets in the meantime is hard to say.
The most important thing is that the fans apply maximum pressure until we get rid of this nepotistic cabal running out club.

 

I hated the Daily Record live" panel before but not anymore. Ironically for once, the media have been very good to us as of late.

Ofc they would like to see us fall but we need them right now.

 

We all recognize that change is needed but we need to do it without it affecting the players on the pitch who are trying to win games - we have a league to win after all.

The team needs our vocal support now more than ever...

 

Figures in the media are even perplexed though so they can't spin it that the fans are acting out of turn. Steven Thompson put it quite well, that the board are "trying to defend the indefensible".

There are no excuses, but that's all we've been served up. The lack of self-awareness and ability to read the room is astounding.

 

They've made a world class * of it, in fairness.
