If Lennon doesn't experiment with the team at least a little now, he's even more conservative than i thought. I'd like to see Zaluska, Paddy, Twardzik, Brozek etc all get a proper run.

Jelly and ice cream = party food.

Eating jelly and ice cream when Rangers die = having a party when they finally go bust :50:

Not at all as the title isn't won yet. when the league is in the bag, then we experiment.

There was no way they could catch us when we were 4 points in front, forget 14!! They sold their best outfield player, Naysmith is injured (lol) and Fat Sally signed a 35 year old to replace him. Anyone really worried about the Healy-Cousin partnership lol!!!

Still hasn't sunk in really... feels a bit weird, it suddenly happening all at once, and it's been ages since we've had a huge lead in the title race, and been able to say with real confidence that we'll win it before the last day. Still, a great feeling! The nerves are all but gone, I wouldn't bet against that 14 point gap increasing quite drastically before the end of March, we're on a role and I can see the huns struggling to beat the likes of Killie, Hearts and Dundee UTD.

Cousin isn't necessarily signed, there's a dispute because he apparently wasn't registered before the huns went into admin.

hahahaha funny when you think about the ages of healy (32) and cousin (35)

I'd take wild guess that Stokes n Hooper (both 24) arnt far off beating them or coming close in relation to cometitive goals scored, and thats some age gap considering

we need to open up a further 5-7 point gap over them before we go to Ibrox.

really hope that is the case. i would fear for our fans attending the game but what a day it would be.

By the time the Ibrokes game comes up (in 5 games time) we will have each played 30 games. Assuming we win, there will be 7 games left, which equates to 21pts left avaialble.

So if we are 19pts ahead by the time we visit Mordor, we can win the league.

So that means we need to win 5 more pts than them in the next 4 games. This is perfectly plausible.

My question is this however. Will The SPL allow this to happen?

I was very confident of winning the league before Rangers administration. You'd think that going from 4 to 14 points would make me extra confident but when I really think about it, it doesnt.

The reason I feel that its still as difficult is because Celtic now have the 'out and out favourites' tag. I dont need to remind you what has happened in recent seasons when we've been handed that. And my attitude to cup games is/was/will be that on any given day, any team can win a game. We will be holding a mentality that we've more to loose than the opposition because a large minority are expecting a treble and will be very disappointed if its not won.

Basically, Celtic have capitulated in these scenarios before. I've been very vocal of the attitude of our players when we get into these positions. Arrogance & over confidence is quickly expressed to the newspapers after training and a lack of focus and tempo in the matches that follow have been the bain of Lennons tenure. In reality it stretches back to when Strachan lost his last league title and then you had Samaras whining in the papers that Celtic had the better squad of players despite losing.

Like it or not, that statement is ringing in the ears of everyone at Celtic Park. Coming back from a 15 point gap, I believe the mindset of the players was that of an underdog. Now its changed to one where we have a poor track record in. This is where Lennon will either show that he is the man for the job or show that he can only take the team so far in certain scenarios.

IMO, Lennon can win the league and still show inability to manage the red hot favourites tag. I think he has learned from last year but he still has to prove that he has and the players still have to prove that they have regardless of whats happening at Rangers.

Exactly my thoughts as well, Dempsey. I posted on here yesterday that I now feel more nervous with the 14 points lead. It is extremely important to win on Sunday. If we lose at Easter Road and the huns win at home, the coming weekend might be another turning point this season.

I am sorry for my pessimism, but I take nothing for granted.

The squad is more than strong enough to accomodate the occasional change while still winning games.
