Celtic plc Interim Report

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by BR Fenian Army, Feb 6, 2017.

  1. Wait so we still have CL money to go into this? Yaldi.

  2. The payments from uefa yeah. Which ive been trying to look in to for a source on a date, but can't see a set date. But will be the 12-15mill euro from UEFA to be added. And potentially any tv deal from btsport. Which I assume is to be handed out at the end as well?

Aye, it won't include the TV Money from the CL though or "Market Pool" as UEFA call it since they dont work that out until it is finished and won't be paid until who knows probably in June, which will be about £9million.

So if the income is £61million at the half way mark you could guarentee it will probably be £80million+ by the end of the financial year, with that £9million or so of TV Money, the SPL bonus money of £2.8million or so, plus remaining match income, merchandising, ticket sales, domestic Cup bonus money, possibly sponsorship money still to come and then the season tickets that are sold for next season within that period.

Id guess it will be about £85million.

  3. That's they * co-op loans and land deals off GCC!

  4. :50:

Aye am sure I read somewhere that the CL money we get for this season, will show in the next accounting period, as that money isn't paid out until later this season.

edit just seen ILTC post :50: we are 'minted' and its only going to get better :36::62:

  8. Fabulous figures for the 1st half. The only teensy little thing to worry about is the £9m rise in football expenses, exceeding the £8m rise in football revenues. As mentioned above, it's likely that some of this rise is due to signing-on fees for Dembele and Toure, which may be wholly (or partially, in Dembele's case) accounted for in these results. If so, and I hope this is true, then the wage budget should be covered by revenues in a season without CL football (perish the thought, however). If not, then the wage bill may be unsustainable going forward, unfortunately.

  9. Very impressive set of figures, £9m more than the whole of the previous season!

Obviously CL makes up a good part of that increase but additionally new sponsorship with Dafabet and likely the extra 5-10k season ticket sales.

Don't think we will break 100m but as others have said above 85-90M come 30 June is a realistic target i would think.

I would think there is a healthy budget for Rodgers in the summer, we need to consolidate our position and build from the position of strength and qualify again for the champions league.

  11. When you bring in new players the signing on fee will show in this total (Dembele as a good example), also anyone who we renewed contract with (signing on fee & also any loyalty bonus - not sure if agent fee shown here or other) is placed in this amount is my understanding but can find out for sure tomorrow.

Apologises if this is already answered now, not had chance to log on.

  14. Buy half a Dembele

  15. * me , seriously,I've got a *.

  16. It might actaully reach the £90million mark. Usually between now and the end of the season we bring in £20million+, this season it will be more than that as it will be record CL money to come from the TV, we will get money for winning the SPL, we get record Sponsorship and advertising money now too, who knows what bonuses to come, we'll likely win the Scottish Cup, we have a Sevco game compared to the last few years when we didnt, we'll sell out on "Trophy day", the merchandising will be higher than usual with all the 1967 stuff and new anniversary tops coming on youd imagine and * will be desperate for season tickets again, so the vast majority will probably be renewed before July which will be the highest numbers in years.

  17. unbelievable results imagine we had some of the money in the EPL,we probably are the biggest club in UK financially if you compared like for like if Man Utd or whoever was in the SPL

  18. We'd be close. In the top 4 anyway.

Its only until recent years that Arsenal took over us on Merchandising, until 2010ish we used to sell more merchandise than them yet they were in the EPL with Fabregas, Van Persie etc on the back of Henry, Bergkamp, Vieira and all that, based in London reaching the knockouts of the CL every season we were cutting about with Caldwell, Nakamura and Scott McDonald.
