Im with you on that one mate,he should never have been sold instead he should have been made captain. IMO he won us the league the season he signed. I dont know if you know this but i read somewhere a rangers player, might have been Thomson, said when they saw we had sold robbo they knew they had a massive upper hand in the title race and as much as i hate it i agree, for me that * any league challenge.

IMO john Kennedy is worthy of legendary status just for the simple fact that he tried harder everytime he came back from injury and was 100x the player mcmanus is. Also Morten Wieghorst, i loved the big guy ill never forget his goal in his first game back from battling Guillain Barre Syndrome.

When Ian Wright signed I thought if we could get the last three years of his career out of him he could have been a legend but unfortunatly he like a lot of other so called big names turned out to be a major dissapointment. :38:

    Agree with that one 100%.

The guy gave everything for club and country and could have been one of the best players to come out of Scotland of his generation.

Great player, never gave up and I'm led to believe a cracking guy.

Agree. Think Kennedy had the potential, but that said he never had had the chance. Some folk might scoff at this one, but around the same time I also thought David Marshall had the potential to be our keeper for the next 10 years at least. He was simply awesome at the Camp Neu & against the FOD a few days later. Was a mile better than Hedman or Douglas then, a much better keeper than McShagger & was, at the very least the equal of Craig Gordon.

When Strachan arrived he got a couple of games, which co-incided with some absolutely abysmal team performances, got dropped, Boruc came in and the rest is history. Marshall went out on loan, eventually left and never has seemed to recapture the confidence or form he had during those later MO'N seasons.

Di Canio was the biggest one for me, complete off-the-cuff maverick that Celtic fans take to their hearts.

I suppose you'd have to add Darren Jackson and Wieghorst for coming back from those life threatning operations.

i think if we got another couple of seasons from lubo he would be held as a legend,he wasnt that far off it even though he moved to us at such a late stage in his career.

di canio if he stayed would have been a sure fire legend,if robbie keane had of stayed or bellamy then they would also fall into that catogray.

looking back over the last 10 years or so,id say boruc, lennon, larsson, hartson and sutton can be considered legends.

the likes of bobo and jackie mc,lambert, naka and petrov just miss out for me.

+1...don't have to have played for years and years to be considered a legend imo.lubo will always be remembered by the generation who seen him play.his performance in the 5-1 game....and the 3-0 at ibrox

lubo was a great player, but can he really be called a celtic legend?

its a tough call, but its unfair to call him a legend and not call the likes of paul lambert a legend.maybe both are,but in my opinon, both just miss out.

lubo because he didnt play enough games for us,and lambert because he didnt knock albertz teeth out in revenage :56:

Agree 100%.. I was gutted when we let robson go. He was/is a cracking player. He is the only one of the " Old Firm Mob " playing for middlesbrough that is playing consistently well. He is probably their best player just now. He gives his all every game and has the ability to match it.

Paul Lambert springs to mind. He was a class act at slowing the game down and letting things develop. The class of Larsson and Sutton's goals were built from the back with some key moments from Lambert. Not world class but a * for Celtic at the time

John Kennedy, David Marshall and Liam Miller could have been 3 home grown legends, it's a shame the way things turned out for them, obviously Miller deserves everything he got.

    Di Canio is a *.

John Collins. Don't know if some consider him a legend or not but I remember being at games, especially away from home in his last season where some fans had turned against him for signing for Monaco.

Lambert. Captain for our best successes in a long time. Might he a bit biased though coz him and mjallby were my favourites players so basically IMO they are legends.
But Liam miller, kennedy, reiper if he didn't get that injury all cold and should have been legends
