Celtic Player Stats

I'm a tad bit biased in what I'm about to say....

Those stats for me just emphasis how greedy and selfish Commons can be at times. Too often for my liking he takes random hits at goals - and although they can look like "Ohh, close Commons" moments, he does it all too often without offering the ball up to someone in a better position. He was bad for it a lot last season as well, specially when Scepovic was playing and clearly in a better position to score, he would still rather go for glory himself.

Maybe that goal scoring season a couple years back has went to his head? Certainly don't recall him being as bad/annoying about it.




For the record though, on his day and when he does pull them off, he is one of our best players. Just think he could do with learning when other players are in a better position and be more of a team player, rather than wanting the team to play around him and set him up so much.

18 so far for Leigh. * superb, it's realistic he can break 40 this year.

Hope he stays injury free all season

 

Think in the second half of the season when we are clear in the league we will probably rotate our attackers a bit more which may keep his final tally down a little bit, still think he will get 30-35 goals though.

 

Don't think we will, unless there's a cup match or something. If there's going to be rotation it'll be the midpoint, when we're in 3 (hopefully 4) tournaments at the same time. The back end of the season should be the easy streak

Id say the ratings are very accurate, I dont know how they do it I think they take in all stats, which theres about 40 different ones then somehow its mathematically calculated probably based on what position someone plays.

As most of the time the players you would say are the best in a game or the best in X League are always the correct ones.

 

Tierney is fantastic one on one for his age. Think those stats back it up.

 

The top tackler in the Europa League so far this season overall also 2 of the other top tacklers are the Fenerbahce and Ajax right-backs he played against who I think were 4th and 7th best probably why it seems there was so much battling away going on down his side over the games as when you think of Lustig he didnt have a lot to do on his side in the games.

Tete and Gonul their right backs were actually rated their teams best players in the Europa League too so he was up against good opposition.

Also felt Fenerbahce either targeted Tierney or looked for Markovic as often as possible tonight. Either way he coped well.

 

Mulgrew's stats in earlier years are impressive, is a shame he is not so consistent nowadays.

I think its fair to say KT has made leftback his.

 

Without doubt it's his. In saying that, I thought yesterday was maybe his poorest game for us (not even that bad, just not as standout-ish), which was bound to happen and by the cramp (both legs) he had, it's no surprise..
