    Hamburg have better quality players than us mate, i seem to recall Van Der Vaart was their captain for a while. Plus they play in Germany much better league anaw.

    Thing is would he improve our midfield i think he would struggle tbh if i was him stay at Hamilton for a few more years get that experience see where that leads to.

    Why can't we just wait to see if the transfer goes down any in the summer? I don't see McArthur getting a game before Brown, Crosas, Robson, Hartley or even Flood if we sign him. I do think he's got potential but isn't ready to make the step up yet.

    The Liverpool scout said that the only player he had seen as good as McCarthy at McCarthy's age was Stevie Gerrard. I'd be surprised if it wasn't him we were in for. Perhaps buy him and loan him back for the rest of the season?

    in an ideal world, i would of liked to snap both MCcarthy and McArthur now and loan them back to Hamilton for the next couple of seasons.

    if they make a move too early it could damage the potential they could reach atm. i like them both alot and think they will be some players in the future.

    I have always rated James McArthur, he is a midfield dynamo
    that has been on fire for Hamilton this year.

    Think he has that little bit extra than McCarthy.

    Would defo sign him :50:

    Mc Carthy is far better , Our scouts are dire bet the * put the wrong name down on his report , He's younger hes holding his own in the league hes adding goals and he loves getting in the box and having a dig ,reminds me of a young Stillian Petrov , James Mc Carthy is our bhoy not Mc Arthur ,

    hope we dont sign him but McCarthy instead, if what people are saying about McArtur being a true hun we should instead give the lad who is said to be a tim, and is younger and has been linked to numerous TOP CLUPS like manu, barcelona, liverpool,arsenal, real madrid plus ourselves a chance.
